Great boat and crew! - It wasn't the best viewing day, but we did get to see a few bottlenose dolphins. Even so, we had a great time. The staff on the boat are great and know a lot about the animals you're hoping to see. On a day like ours it was also great to be on a vessel with a lot of room to move around so you could get to a good vantage point and see the dolphins. They largely stayed just under the surface, so I imagine that passengers on some of the larger tour boats who were stuck in the middle of a bench seat somewhere wouldn't have seen much of anything. I can see from some other reviews that people don't seem to understand the rules around viewing wild animals. The VIP crew are very respectful of these rules. So they won't go charging in where a couple other boats are already placed (so as not to overcrowd the animals), and they will only spend 10 minutes or so with the animals so as to allow other vessels a turn.

Fabulous! - Fabulous experience from start to finish. Stunning yacht, super attentive and helpful staff and glorious scenery. Only a few people on boat so has lots of space to enjoy. We also saw beautiful dolphins up close! Highlight of our holiday and highly recommend!

A great, faultless excursion. - With a small group the boat was spacious. Crew were attentive, some tasty snacks and the drinks kept flowing! Saw dolphins but the scenic journey was just as impressive. Highly recommend this excursion.

The perfect trip. - The best way to spend the morning, we had the most fabulous three hours with VipDolphins, Nick and all the crew were wonderful, making sure we were all comfortable and really well looked after for the duration, the catamaran was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean, the food & drinks on offer were all delicious, we did manage to see a few dolphins which was really special. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend VipDolphins, we will definitely be back for another trip with them next time we’re in Maderia.

Brilliant trip - Absolutely fantastic day with VIP dolphins. Traditional Portuguese snacks were delicious. Drinks plentiful. Boat spotless and very well maintained. But most important were the staff who were incredible. Friendly, reassuring, knowledgeable, passionate about their job. Couldn’t have done more to make us happy. And they found a delightful pod of pilot whales for us to see with a mother & juvenile appearing frequently in close proximity of the boat. Brilliant day all round. Thank you.

Pilot whales spotting - The crew were very knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife. We were looked after well and the drinks and snacks were a nice touch. The boat was spotless.

Highly recommend fantastic crew who did everything they could to make sure everyone was happy - Booked due to great reviews and paid the extra for a smaller catamaran as it was my birthday. Catamaran was stunning, facilities brilliant, any food and drink you wanted and crew couldn't do anything more. We sadly had a very choppy day at sea so quite a few got sea sick but the crew .are sure everyone was looked after brilliantly. Highly recommend

Great experience - Wonderful tour with very great guides. The snacks were delicious and drinks were available at all times. Personally, I tend to get motion sickness and I didn't have any major problems thanks to the instructions on where the boat was quietest etc. Again any time!

Wine and Whales - What an absolutely marvellous trip. Nothing was too much trouble for the crew and the drinks and snacks just kept on coming. This really was 'All inclusive' at its best. The catamaran was spacious and. comfortable, and as it's VIP, there were only 15 or so customers. Everyone had a great time. The company offer as many trips as it takes to see dolphin and whales. On our first trip we didn't see any so stopped for swimming and snorkling. It was no trouble to book the second trip and this time we were lucky Spotters on the cliffs saw pods of dolphins and whales. The captain changes course and when he slowed we were surrounded by dolphins, then pilot whales. It was fantastic! This was easily the best boat trip company I have ever used, and we have been on a lot. Highly, highly recommended.
