Amazing views - Great guide, very good English, very informative, amazing views. Well worth the money. Very lucky with the weather. Couldn't go to Pico Ariero for safety reasons but it was fine. Instead we went to Porto da Cruz.

A must do! - An incredible hike. Some warning / advice on what gear to being for the day would have been welcome as it was very hot, very sunny. Some poeple on the tour struggled, but our guide was very professional and took control of the situation.

Must do for trip to madeira - The walk was incredible, views to die for literally from start to finish. I would say it requires an intermediate level of fitness, take lots of water and pack food. There is a cafe at the start and at the Peak of the walk but I'd say take your own food. We walked for around 3 hours from peak to peak, rested for an hour and then walked for around 40 mins down to where the mini bus collects you. I would absolutely recommend doing this excursion over walking the walk alone as you will have to walk all the back otherwise and trust me it's much harder walking back than walking there. Lisa our guide was amazing, gave lots of info about the island and the plants and animals.

Not worth paying for - Mmm. They say free pick up from all hotels and houses but that is not true. The guide smoked a lot throughout the hike which was off putting. I’d suggest hiking on your own and arranging transit from either side to save time and money.

Don’t choose this company - I would rate this a zero if possible. I booked this tour with my niece and we were never picked up! We called the company after waiting for 30 minutes and they claimed to have sent a cancellation email but couldn’t find it on their end. I got the email the following day. We had to hire a taxi at triple the cost to be able to do the hike since it was going to be raining the following day. I don’t recommend choosing this tour operator.
