10/10 - Amazing trip with beautiful views of the island. Ricardo was our guide and he was really willing to go the extra mile - took some awesome videos from the off road drive and shared so much info about the island I’m pretty sure you couldn’t get from a regular excursion. 10/10 would recommend, especially this trip in particular since people usually don’t explore the center of the island, and they’re missing out.

Get a closer look at Madeira ! - I prefer this kind of excursion because it feels more personal. with around three couples in a vehicle, the ice is soon broken and it becomes a more shared experience. The guide/driver (David in our trip) mixes genuine info about the island with a good dose of humourous quips that had us chuckling during whole day. A couple of tips, Have warm clothing with you and "sensible" footwear. Issues with your back? This kind of trip is not recomended as it gets very bumpy off road.

Spectacular views all the way along - Most tours to the north of the island focus on Porto Moniz but the central stretch of the north coast, from São Vicente eastward is really dramatic. We prefer jeep tours because jeeps can get to places the larger tour buses cannot, and off-road is fun, although it is a relatively small part of this tour compared to some. Our driver, Jaz, had a great sense of humour, and knew how to take great photos - including selfies of himself of course! A very enjoyable day.
