Great way to discover the island - We had a great day and saw a lot of Madeira’s beautiful landscape. Ricardo gave us lots of insights into his island and its history. The off-road paths in the mountains were quite an adventure as well. I was very glad I didn’t drive those steep roads in a rental car. We got to taste bananas straight from the plant and had a little picnic with local cookies and Madeira wine as well as a tasty lunch. Absolutely recommend the tour with Ricardo, it felt very personal and not like a mass-tourist tour.

A fun day in the west, northwest of Madeira - I spent a delightful day with Ricardo touring the west, northwest part of the island in his 4x4 jeep. We were able to see all the tourist areas and go on roads less travelled experiencing more unique parts of Madeira. I especially enjoyed the Fanal forest. Ricardo’s love and knowledge of Madeira is obvious in his comments. I felt very comfortable and safe with his driving skills and would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to go off the beaten path and see the true beauty of Madeira.

Fantastic tour - One of the best tours we've ever taken in all of our travels! Ricardo's love for Madeira came out in his tour. We got to see so many different locations that we would never have gotten to on our own. Can't wait to go back and take another tour with his company!

Spectacular, must do tour! - The views were absolutely stunning we went to the tops of the mountains where you can get a good look at some of the villages, towns and waterfalls. We enjoyed a lovely lunch by the sea , and great splash in the Seixal black lava sand beach we had a lovely taste of local wine and biscuits after. I would recommend this tour much better then driving your self!

5 star experience - The view were amazing, a lovely trip with lots of knowledge from our tour guide , even though the weather wasn’t perfect it was our favourite part of visiting Madeira. plenty of stops for photos, we have an amazing lunch recommended by ricardo , we couldn’t recommend more and will definitely comeback and do another tour,

Outstanding tour and hike with Ricardo!!! - I cannot praise Ricardo and Nature Connections enough! I did a tour of the west and north, and the Pico 1 -1.2 hike on a subsequent day. First the tour … we hit all the main spots but Ricardo also took us into some of the old roads to get the best feel of the locals on the islands. We stopped for a wonderful lunch - it was a spectacular day and his knowledge of the island is remarkable. We followed up with the “big” hike. He was so patient and accommodating…and with his encouragement we completed the hike. Many people probably try and do it alone but I highly recommend Ricardo, he was very good at setting expectations and he ensured that we timed the hike to get the best views and stayed away from bad weather. He took numerous photos and videos that he shared with us! He really understands the customer experience and does his absolute best to make your Madeira experience memorable. He gave us excellent recommendations for during our stay and even moved our hike so that we could enjoy a day in Porto Santo. When I return to Madeira, and I will, my first plans will be setting up time with Ricardo to continue exploring the island.

Madeira - The beautiful West - Since I liked my first trip so much, I did my second trip also with Ricardo. This time it was the West. We passed the wounderful southcoast, with a stop for fresh bananas. Puerto Moniz had 4 meter waves for us which was just a great experience. We had a great tuna steak for lunch in a cosy authentic restaurant. I can only recommend this tour with the always friendly and polite Ricardo! He is a great guy!

GREAT EXPERIENCE💚 - Thank you Ricardo for a fantastic experience...The journey in a modern jeep full of natural beauty - mountains, plants, rainforest, waterfalls...Incredible views from the cliffs and directly from the car...During the ride a lot of interesting information about the island including nice snacks - fresh bananas directly from the plantation, Madeira wine... In Porto Moniz a very tasty lunch and an amazing swim...At the end a tasting of a great drink Poncha...Ricardo is a great and funny guide, thanks to him my girlfriend and I got to know half of the island in 1 day...Thanks a lot, we recommend him to everyone!!!
