- Lake Kawaguchiko - Lake Kawaguchiko is a picturesque lake and serves as the gateway to the Fuji Five Lakes area. Visitors can enjoy a ship cruise or take a ropeway cable car up to Kachi Kachi Mountain. On clear days, there is a spectacular view of Mount Fuji. Separate entry fees apply for the ship cruise and ropeway cable car.
- Ensoleille Excursion Ship Pleasure Boat Kawaguchiko - Visitors can enjoy two experiences: a ship cruise and the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway cable car to Kachi Kachi Mountain. The cruise on Lake Kawaguchiko lasts 20 minutes and offers a close view of Mount Fuji, weather permitting. Additional fees apply for the ship cruise, and visitors can also take photos before heading to the next spot. The ropeway provides a close view of Mount Fuji if the weather is clear.
- Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai, known as the Eight Seas of Oshino, consists of eight ponds in the Fuji Five Lakes area, on the site of a former lake that dried up centuries ago. The ponds are fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, filtered through volcanic rock over decades, resulting in crystal-clear, mineral-rich waters. A clear view of Mount Fuji is visible from here.
- Oishi Park - Located on the north shore of Kawaguchiko, Oishi Park offers a magnificent view of both the lake and Mount Fuji simultaneously.
- Lake Ashinoko - Lake Ashi is renowned for its beauty and the Hakone Shrine, famous for the large red torii gate along its shore, known as the “Gate of Peace” (heiwa no torii). Erected in 1952 to commemorate the crown prince’s reign and Japan’s independence, visitors can enjoy a pirate ship or ropeway cable car, with separate entry fees.
- Hakone Ropeway - The observation platform provides breathtaking views of ‘Owakudani’, Hakone’s most famous tourist spot. The desolate mountainside, covered in smoke plumes, reflects the area’s former name, Hell Valley. The Hakone Ropeway offers many scenic views, including the valley below and, on the way to Togendai, views of Mount Fuji and Lake Ashi.
- Owaku-dani Valley - Owakudani is a popular destination in Hakone, known for its steaming thermal volcanic vents. The black eggs, boiled in sulfurous waters, are believed to add years to one’s life. A clear view of Mount Fuji is possible from here if the weather is favorable.
