- Oishi Park - Oishi Park is a picturesque area where visitors can enjoy a stunning view of flowers, Lake Kawaguchi, and the majestic Mt. Fuji simultaneously. The lakeside promenade features a variety of flowers that bloom seasonally. On the park’s west side, the “350-meter-long Flowers Road” offers a vibrant display of colorful blooms throughout the year. At the end of Flowers Road, Kochia (summer cypress) thrives from summer to autumn, making it a popular photo spot.
Throughout the year, the park showcases 90 different types of seasonal flowers, with various blooms visible at any given time. As visitors stroll along the promenade surrounded by flowers and gazing at Mt. Fuji, they will feel a sense of tranquility.
(Note: During the 2025 Maple Season, visit the Maple Corridor by Lake Kawaguchi instead of Oishi Park.)
- Lake Yamanaka - Known as “Swan Lake,” Lake Yamanaka is the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes, situated near Mount Fuji in Japan. It is the closest lake to Mount Fuji among the Fuji Five Lakes, and the view of the mountain over the lake is spectacular.
Enjoy a leisurely walk along the lakeside, where swans can be seen gliding and resting at the lake’s edge, offering a peaceful experience amidst the scenic beauty. On clear days, the stunning “upside-down Fuji” phenomenon, where Mount Fuji is reflected on the lake’s surface, is truly breathtaking.
- Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai is a village famous for its eight clear spring water ponds, recognized as one of the “Top 100 Famous Waters of Japan.” It is designated as a Natural Monument and is part of the Mount Fuji World Heritage Site.
The eight ponds are fed by snowmelt from the slopes of nearby Mount Fuji. As the water filters down through porous layers of lava for over 80 years, it results in exceptionally clear spring water that the locals deeply value. Visitors can taste this magical spring water for free, experiencing its sweetness and purity, and the legend of longevity.
- Lawson Fujikawaguchiko Town Hall - An Instagram-famous spot near Mount Fuji, where visitors can capture the unique beauty of Mt. Fuji. After taking photos, they can enjoy ice cream, beverages, or local snacks in the store.
- Chureito Pagoda - The Chureito Pagoda, located in Arakurayama Sengen Park, is a must-see attraction. This park is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of Chureito Pagoda, Mt. Fuji, and Fujiyoshida City at the foot of the mountain.
To reach the Chureito Pagoda and the observation deck, visitors must climb 398 stairs. The view from the top is considered one of the best in Japan and is listed as one of the 21 must-visit places for photographers worldwide.
While the cherry blossom season is ideal for capturing the iconic image of Mt. Fuji surrounded by cherry blossoms and the five-storied pagoda, the park offers stunning scenery throughout the year as the landscape changes with the seasons.
- Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine - Built in 705, the shrine has served as the guardian god of Arakura Village for over 1,300 years. It is a sacred place of worship where people seek protection against bad luck, promote harmony within their households, and pray for safe childbirth and successful child-rearing.
- Hikawa Clock Shop - Hikawa Clock Shop is located in a charming town, away from the bustling Tokyo. A serene path leads to the iconic mountain, allowing visitors to capture Japanese street scenes with the spectacular Mount Fuji in the background.
