Absolutely Incredible! Best Tour I've ever been on!!!! - My son and I went on a private tour with Ayman from Lima to Huacachina Balestras Islands and the Reserve -- and then dropped us off that night downtown Lima to catch the magic color water fountains. They customized it slightly to skip the winery as we weren't interested. From the moment they picked us up from our hotel, I was given a masters level class in Peru. (they asked if I wanted it.. or wanted to sleep!) The entire day I learned abut the people, the culture, the geography, food, politics, etc. I asked questions, they asked questions. By the end of the trip I wanted to invite them to my home in the US -- it was that type of rapport and friendship that resulted from the entire day. The icing on the cake was when we arrived at the Oasis, and after having lunch together we were to ride the sand buggies. It is an insane climb up the dunes to get to the cars, and I knew I couldn't make it as I have mobility issues. But Ayman talked with the company and had the car come much closer so I wouldn't have to miss the opportunity. It was one of the happies experience in my life to be able to do excursion, be out on the dunes, and have someone advocate for me. When I go back to Peru -- I'm already planning another trip, travel buddies will by the agency that I choose without question.

Amazing mix of adventure and relaxation, highly recommend! - We had such an amazing time on this tour! It is the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, starting off taking a boat ride to see the wildlife on the Ballestas Islands, then going to the Huacachina Oasis for dune bugging and sand boarding, and finally going to the pisco winery for some amazing food and fantastic drinks! Aymen, our guide, went above and beyond to make our experience special, including giving the best food/drink recommendations and stopping so we could see wild flamingos during our drive! He was so knowledgeable and taught us a lot about life in Peru during our drive, which only added to the experience. Highly recommend booking this tour!

Excellent tour! - We had an excellent tour experience with our guide Rudy and driver Rodolfo. We learned a lot about Perú’s culture and history. The ride went smooth; Rodolfo is a careful driver. Rudy made sure we were attended speedily in the Ballestas Islands’ tour were we boarded a motorboat with other tourists, and was there waiting for us when we returned. The boat trip was superb- got to see many different birds and sea lions. The buggy ride in Huacachina was a lot of fun; safe riding. Lunch went well with typical food at a nearby restaurant. Wine & pizco tasting was interesting. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

I love how well I was taken care of by Travel Buddies during my time in Peru - This day starts early, around 4:30 a.m., because of the travel time involved. No worries, however, as there are plenty of opportunities for a break. If you go with Travel Buddies Peru, you'll be treated like royalty--they use their own private transport which sure beats a big tour bus. It was perfect. The boat trip from Paracas out to the Ballestas Islands is stunning--nothing will prepare you for the beauty of the rocky islands, the birds, penguins, and sea lions and fur seals. At Huacachina, you'll climb a sand dune for a little bit until you reach the area where the dune buggies are located. Each cart seats about 10 people; once one is full, out you go into the magnificent, gorgeous sand dunes around the Huacachina oasis. The dune buggies ride is not for the faint of heart--it's likely wilder than any roller coaster you've ever been on, but wow was it fun! If you'd like, the driver also carries "surfboards" to slide down the dunes for a while during a stop along the way. Finally, enjoy the beautiful vineyards and products at a top-class winery. If you're hungry, they have an excellent restaurant serving a wide variety of local cuisine (and cuisine only found in southern parts of Peru). The staff at the winery and distillery will offer lots of great information about the distillation process for making pisco, and you'll get the chance to sample many different kinds (and wine also). I do highly recommend having some lunch in their restaurant before the presentation of the wines and piscos. My guide for the day was Aymen--he's one of the best guides and buddies you could ever find. Not only is he a knowledgeable and capable professional, he treats you with care with lots of attention to detail. He made sure I was comfortable and happy during the ENTIRE day, and we spent 14 hours together! You want someone like him helping you out. He is also an excellent, safe driver in a very nice SUV. He speaks several languages fluently, including Spanish, French, English and Arabic. In short, if you have an extra day in Lima, make sure not to miss out on this exciting tour! I love how well I was taken care of by Travel Buddies during my time in Peru.

Perfect experience for my birthday! - What an excellent choice and travel partners! Miguel and Carlos were the best companions, caring and helpful. We travelled together for more than 15h visiting the beautiful and diverse habitat of Ballestas islands, the thrilling and fun Huacachina oasis and the Pisco tasting. It was one of the most comfortable trips and this was due to our guides (and a great, sparkling clean car!). Miguel was knowledgeable, caring like a friend and Carlos was the most calm and smiling driver. They gave the most positive, friendly energy, totally recommend them! Great experience. Recommend travel buddies! - This tour was great! I was a solo female traveler and the only one on the tour, but felt completely safe the entire time. My guide, Aymen, was fantastic. He made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They planned ahead and thought of everything so no waiting in lines as reservations were already made for the boat, dune buggy, and lunch/pisco tasting. Aymen picked me up on time and explained the day ahead, offered to take pictures whenever I wanted, and we stopped for coffee on the way since we had a 4:30a start. Arrived back to the hotel around 7p. The Ballestas Island boat ride was my favorite part (saw penguins, sea lions, dolphins). Huacachina oasis was cool and a great photo opportunity. The sand boarding/dune buggy part was only an hour and felt rushed, but was still fun. The dune buggy ride is rough and the seatbelts aren’t the best, so just be prepared to bounce around! Lunch was great and the pisco tasting was fun. Highly recommend Travel Buddies!

Best start to our Peru trip - We had an amazing day! Aymen was the best tour guide we could’ve asked for. He was full of interesting information and recommendations and always so helpful every step of the way. He made our experience feel like we were just visiting our local friend and him showing us around his home. Every part of the trip was perfect. It was the best start to our time in Peru.
