Just stunning - Frigiliana its a beautiful place and so glad we found it. Its the epitome of Spanish life and looks. It white washed building and steps, beautiful Coffee and Food, with many Craft shops to visit. Yes its on a bit of a hill , but just take your time and explore. We took the little train around the town and then took the Tuk Tuk which takes you to slightly different places, and very handy if you don't or cant to the hill or Steps as the Tuk Tuk will take you there. I would definitely live here!!!

A must do walking tour in Frigiliana!! - A Walking tour in Frigiliana is the only way to explore this town to its best.. Our tour guide Maria made the tour enjoyable, enriching and fun. She’s very knowledgeable of the history and the evolution of the town since the Moorish times. Meeting point was uphill in the Alcaldía building. A full 1.5 hrs discovering narrow streets, stunning view points and interesting facts of this charming town. We would not have had so many details without a tour. It made a different experience between shopping for souvenirs and understanding the history and evolution of the town. Overall 10/5 stars for Maria.

Mary lives her city. - Maria is an excellent guide who gives you a good insight into the history and customs of the city in a fun way. She lives in the city herself and you can tell because she knows almost everyone she passes.

Frigilina with a local touch - We had visited this white wash village many times before, but this time with a local guide Maria, who explained the history of Frigiliana. She spoke with a passion and pride about the village she loved, which at 3000 people is more like a family community. As we walked, she said hello to numerous people who live and look after this lovely place . Muchas gracias. Alan and Janice

Lovely Spot for a Short Visit and Great Views - Frigliana is a beautiful white village in the mountains up from Nerja. Easy access by a very short bus ride (E1.30) from the Nerja bus depot. It can be VERY busy though. It was standing room only for us on the bus coming home. If you keep walking up and up, there are fewer people as you go up (for obvious reasons). There are also some excellent artisan shops worth going into (not selling the usual Chinese-made junk). I have heard there are some interesting hikes into the mountains from Frigliana, one that goes to the lost village. Whatever you do, give the white train tour a miss. Although it’s only E5, it’s only of the new part of town (not interesting) and the English translation is unrecognizable as English.

Enjoyable way to explore Frigiliana and good value - Good value for money and we enjoyed learning more about the village from a local guide . However we thought we had booked an English tour but it turned out to be Spanish too so we had to wait longer at every stop for guide to explain In both languages. Maybe that was why we didn’t explore more of the village eg old fountain ? But still enjoyable visit
