An unforgettable outing off Saint Raphael!! - We took part in the dolphin and cetacean excursion offered by Taksea, and it was just an exceptional experience.
Departure at 8am from the port of Saint-Raphaël aboard Simone, a comfortable and perfectly adapted boat. Sailing was on a sea of oil, in the Pelagos sanctuary, above a 2000 meter deep fault, a real pantry for cetaceans.
The excursion takes place in a small group (30 people maximum), and as Taksea is the only company to offer this type of excursion, we had the privilege of being alone offshore. After some exciting explanations from the crew, we had the chance to observe a school of about ten dolphins for nearly 30 minutes, then a sperm whale spotted in the distance, majestically raising its tail before diving.
The captain and his hostess are adorable, welcoming and passionate, and the breakfast served at sea made this moment even more special.
A unique experience, rich in emotions and perfectly organized, that we recommend without hesitation to all lovers of the sea and nature.

Magic! - Magical sea trip with our children who had never seen wild dolphins! We have seen a lot (almost a hundred!) And to top it off, we were lucky enough to see a sperm whale: beautiful! Thank you to your team who know the surroundings well and are extremely careful not to disturb them during the visit to their sanctuary. Working in biology, I understand that we were lucky to be able to observe them, because it remains a natural environment, the weather was perfect: it was very nice!

Super nice - The trip was wonderful. Lots of beautiful videos and great companions. Two of us became seasick, but even here we could be helped. It was a beautiful experience that we do not want to miss.

Nice trip (but no dolphins seem) - The trip was very well organised, the boat in good condition, departed on time so I am rating it a 5. Unfortunately we didn’t see any animals whatsoever but I guess that’s a risk you take with experiences like this one. Disappointing but we enjoyed it as a sea trip, looking from afar at the Cote D’Azur. The guide even gave us an extra 30 min in the hope we would see something. In terms of improvements, I would recommend that the guide prepares some facts and figures about the marine reserve we were visiting, the wildlife that lives in it etc to give some context.

Bad experience - The sea was not calm. Shaken in the boat because large waves. Weather did not allow the observation of cetaceans. Why didn’t you cancel in view of the weather, and then say that the weather conditions were not optimal for seeing cetaceans?? A real scam!!
