Best customized service - Oh my goodness! I just looked at my bookings on my current trip and saw I failed to leave a review for this tour. We were very impressed with the historical knowledge that was given to us as we traveled throughout the area. Our guide was very thoughtful and made every effort to take us to the sites that mattered most to us. In addition, we were taken to a lovely restaurant for a much needed break and sustenance! Following our last stop and before being taken to the train station, he was kind enough to take us to a grocery store so we could buy provisions for our long train ride back to Paris. Best picnic in a long time!

D Day Tout - We had a wonderful 8 hour tour with John taking in all the D Day sights. He was extremely knowledgeable about the activities of the WWII that surrounded the landing at Normandy, both on the beaches and the surrounding countryside. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an account of what happened during this amazing time in history!!

Powerful, surreal, humbling and amazing. - This tour was everything I hoped for and more. Eric, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. He was attentive and accommodating. Eric spent extra time at Omaha Beach because that’s where my Dad landed on June 6, 1944 with “The Big Red One” and he knew it was important to me. He showed me in detail where my Dad landed and the route he took to the church where they set up camp. He highlighted a map of my Dad’s journey for me to see and keep. Eric also brought a humanness to the stories he told about all the different types of landings in the invasion and to the different sides of the war. I would highly recommend this tour!

Thanks for a perfect tour! - Arthur, our guide, was perfect! Knowledgeable and delightful. It was exactly what we were looking for! His passion for history added to his presentation. He was personable and we felt so comfortable asking anything! We wanted to specifically go to the area of the beach where my husbands father had been on an LCI and he took us exactly there!

Would Give 6 If I Could - We had a two-day private tour with Alex. Thorough, thoughtful, detailed and enlightening visits and insights to Juno, Omaha and Gold beach invasions. My only regret is that we didn't have longer. We are big fans of one-on-one tours and Alex was as good as one can get. Simply terrific two days! Thank you, Alex and Gold Beach Company.

Amazing 2 days of touring! Alex was our guide and driver for two days and he was wonderful! - Alex was a wonderful tour guide! He researched where we wanted to go since we had a person in our group whose Dad had parachuted in on D-Day. He was thorough, funny, and a wealth of knowledge. We spent two days with him and he picked out great lunch spots! I highly recommend him!

Our memorable D-Day tour with Matt! - The best thing about our vacation to France was our private D-Day tour with the most knowledgeable tour guide Matt from Gold Beach Company. We were promptly picked up at our hotel in Bayeux. Matt's knowledge was impressive! Together we retraced the route that our Dad traveled after landing on Omaha Beach on D-Day with the 29th Division 115th regiment. Matt's research yielded some specific memorial markers including the 29th Division Monument & Memorial Garden at Le Pont de la Pierre as well as a crossroads war memorial for the 29th Infantry Division in Le Carrefour des Vignes aux Gendres. It was a humbling day and memorable experience thanks to Matt who is so personable and gracious. Ask for Matt to be your tour guide -- his knowledge is outstanding!
