Wonderful, even for a first-time kayaker - Just wonderful, even for a first-time kayaker like myself. Get in the kayak right on the dock, which is then slid into the water for you. The kayak feels stable immediately so no tippy feeling at all, even when the wind picked up. On return, just pull up the the dock and get pulled out so you get out on the dock. No need to learn entrance or exit techniques. Overall, it was an absolutely wonderful way to spend a May evening. We got lots of information about plants and animals, had all questions answered, beautiful scenery, and mixed in with insight into (and sights) of hurricane aftermath. Hint: Wear sunscreen even under a hat, as the sun bounces up from the water surface.
