Additional Information

Enjoy a unique underwater journey with a 90-minute Snorkel & Seabob Reef Tour in a small group setting in Fort Lauderdale. The tour extends across a 2-mile underwater terrain. The seabob, an aquatic machine similar to a jet ski, but designed for underwater use, provides a dynamic blend of Snorkeling, Scuba diving, and Jet skiing experiences - all without the necessity for swimming skills. Seabob, on the surface, transports you through splashes of water and fish swarms, while far beneath, it offers you the chance to mingle with a variety of sea life.

At the beginning of the tour, you’ll convene at the beach where a professional instructor will equip you with essentials like a mask, an optional wetsuit, and a safety harness tethered to the seabob, making swimming skills unnecessary. After signing a waiver and getting briefed on safety measures, you’ll embark on your seabob journey towards the reef, joining a small group.

During the exploration of the reef, our experienced guides will introduce you to a stunning diversity of sea creatures including Angelfish, Parrotfish, Sergeant Major Fish, Hogfish, Sea Turtles, and more.

  • We recommend you bring your own water with you.
  • For windy days we highly recommend taking over the counter motion sickness pills like Dramamine.
  • We provide you with masks at no charge. Wet suits are available optionally for an upcharge during the winter time.
  • Showers are available on the beach, however there are no changing rooms available.
  • No license is required to operate a seabob, and you will be provided with a short safety briefing and instruction prior to your tour.
  • Clothing is of choice, however a long sleeve shirt is recommended to ride on the seabob to protect from the sun and also from the friction between the seabob and the pilot belt. You should also bring a towel and sandals for the beach and put sunblock on.
  • You do not need to know how to swim to participate in this tour. However, you are required to wear a pilot belt which will be attached to the seabob while operating which makes it very safe. The seabob also acts like a life jacket and floats on the surface. While in the water we always have one of our instructors out there with you.
  • Seabob operators must be at least 10 years of age with parental consent and supervision.
  • No weight limit, but must fit in security harness.

Must do in Fort Lauderdale! - Such a great time! Went with a friend. Be prepared as you’ll be slightly sore after from muscles you don’t often use otherwise. We saw a ton of fish, a sea turtle, a conch shell, and more! The water was beautiful and the experience was fun! The tour guide, Chris, was also really great. Highly recommend!

A must do! - My Son and I had a wonderful experience with Rene and Chris at Beach Ventures! The Seabob was so fun! Definitely one of a kind experience! The water was so clear and we saw so many different kinds of fish, sea turtles and even a sleeping nurse shark in the coral reefs. Highly recommend it!

Super Fun Adventure - We had a great time! I went with my daughter and her cousin, both 16 years old. The guide was great and explained the whole process. Although it says you dont need to know how to swim, you really should know. You should also be very comfortable out in the ocean and be comfortable with big waves. We are all good swimmers. The Seabob pod that pulls you makes the experience really fun. You leave from the beach and go about a mile out to the reefs. We saw a small (harmless) shark and lots of colorful fish. I was hoping to see a turtle, but no luck on our day. It is more exhuasting then one would think - even with the motor pulling, so make sure you are in reasonably good shape. The offer wet suits but we did not use them. I was not cold at all, nor were my girls. GO FOR IT!

Jet Snorkeling!!! - Rene and Chris are amazing guides! I had high expectations for this tour and it delivered and then some. When we arrived at the first reef there was a massive school of five to six foot tarpon. Later, Chris pointed out a nocturnal nurse shark taking a nap in the coral reef. The performance of the seabob's are fantastic. The speed and depth I was able to reach created an experience I will never forget! Next time I'm down here, I'll do this tour twice. Compared to Jet Skiing this is better because of the interaction with the wild life. I appreciate the length of the trip. I didn't feel pressure to get back to shore the whole time. The tour guides focus on safety and having a great time. Another highlight was seeing a conch shell with a live sea snail.

Great Adventure - This was an amazing adventure! It fit exactly what we were looking for! My husband is a bit nervous in the water and not a strong swimmer, I love to Scuba and Snorkel.. This allowed us both to enjoy! The staff was amazing and showed how much they enjoy doing it.

Lackluster experience, goggles are terrible - So the host was amazing and the seabobs were pretty fun to ride. However the googles were absolute garbage which really ruins the experience. 1 was foggy, 1 leaked water and 1 hurt our forehead so much it left bruises. This really dampers the experience because you cant see much at all under water. The only thing we were able to see was fish. I went with my 15 year old daughter, her friend, my gf and her mom. We didnt think it was worth the price. I would say its worth more around $80. I also got sea sick even after taking Dramamine.
