Nice place to spend 2 to 3 hours. - This is the right place to be if you want to know everything about the history of Ft. Lauderdale. We loved the entire tour and especially the art exhibition on the third floor of the museum.

Interesting Peek into Ft Lauderdale’s history - Three historical houses in the Riverwalk area of Ft Lauderdale. The docent was very knowledgeable and passionate, and very generous with his time. In addition to the historical houses and the museum exhibits in the largest building (which were varied and engaging), the surrounding area along the riverwalk is full of other interesting sights, as well as restaurants. There is a free water taxi along this section of the river. Overall, this is well worth a visit!

Great to see - It was a great place to visit. We did the self guided tour which did not include the school house or other building. Wish it was available for self guided tours as well but the museum was full of information.

Excellent history / side trip in Fort Lauderdale - In Fort Lauderdale? Definitely worth a trip to the Old Fort Lauderdale Village / King Cromartie House and the rest of History Fort Lauderdale. We enjoyed a tour on the first day, but decided to go back the next day to see more of the historic buildings and to walk along the river. Many thanks to Daniel Smith - our tour guide and a wealth of knowledge about Fort Lauderdale's history!
