Highlights

Martinique - time: 8.30am-12pm

Explore the north caribbean coast to see dolphins and (if in season) whales in the AGOA Marine Protected Area, with 15 species of cetaceans regularly observed. A magical moment to discovere the marine mammals in their natural habitat. In the morning we will travel north along the coast of Martinique where we will search for dolphins. The mwill continue continues at the foot of the Pelee mountain with some nice snorkeling in an amazing spot.

Boat is fully insured and equipped with communication equipment, life raft and life rings . Life jackets also provided.

Aperitif, rum, planteur, local juice and fresh fruits will be offered during the excursion.
*If you are a cruise passenger we will come to pick you up at the ship.

Keep sun-lotion and a hat/cap and/or sunglasses in hand.

Cool dolphin watching - The 4-hour tour was wonderful. We saw lots of dolphins. The pick-up in Anse Mitan went really well. The guide was very nice. We can definitely recommend the tour.

I expected more - Unfortunately, there was neither the snack nor fresh fruit promised on the internet. Unfortunately, I was stung by jellyfish while snorkeling. There was no information about the dolphins. But on the other boats, too, the people seemed to be more interested in rum and partying. We did see a few dolphins, though.

Hallucinating - Premise: the port authorities did not bother to let the passengers off the cruise ship before 08:20. Even though we had warned Karidream, the staff on board did not wait for the customers who had paid for the excursion. And they went away. Their solution, after we went to look for the office at our own expense, was to propose that we do the afternoon excursion different from the one we had chosen because the reimbursement was not foreseen because "it was our fault for the delay even if the ship wouldn't let us off." They took us to a disgusting beach that was only suitable as a pier to hold boats. The ending was that we called a taxi to return to the ship and travel 45 minutes for €80 clearly at our expense but it didn't matter, the important thing was that this nightmare ended as soon as possible. They have a hard time making themselves understood, they are poorly organised, they make fun of jokes. Not recommended for excursions. Zero seriousness be careful.

Disappointing - Expedia sold us this excursion as English speaking Dolphin and Whsle Watching. This was not the case. The guide only spoke French and we did not understand anything he said. To his credit, on a few occasions he used Google Translate on his phone to try and explain a couple of points. Expedia also failed to mention that snorkelling/swimming was included. My husband and I could not participate because we had no swim gear with us. Although it seems that Expedia and Viator have a serious communication problem, Kairidream should take some blame for not being on top of what third party sales is writing about their excursion to ensure accuracy.
