• Lake Peten Itza - This is the third largest lake in Guatemala, home to the island of Flores. Before boarding the bus, you will have 10 minutes to capture memories with photos at the special ‘I LOVE PETÉN’ sign. Your tour begins here, passing through quaint towns until reaching the main entrance of Tikal National Park. Here, you will disembark to purchase your park admission tickets, which will take approximately an hour.
• Tikal National Park - At the main entrance of Tikal National Park, park rangers will conduct the initial ticket check (tickets are already included). This marks the beginning of the Tikal National Park reservation. Facilities such as restrooms are available here, and then the journey continues for another 16 kilometers to the visitor center.
• Tikal Visitor Center - At the park’s visitor center, you will find a scale model of Tikal, restroom facilities, restaurants, craft shops, a coffee shop, and the Lithic Museum (entry is not included in the price and tickets must be purchased before entering the park). Your guide will allow you 15 minutes here. Afterwards, you will proceed to ticket control and begin your hike along jungle trails, with stops where your local guide will explain the flora, fauna, and archaeology until reaching the central square.
• Great Plaza - This area features The Temple of the Great Jaguar, Temple II, North Acropolis, South Acropolis, Mayan Ball Game, and more; it is one of the main attractions to visit.
• Temple IV - Known as the Temple of the Bicephalous Snake, Temple IV requires energy to climb but offers a stunning panoramic view, perfect for observing sunrises.
• Lost World - The Lost World Pyramid has stairs for climbing and provides an incredible 360-degree view. Your local guide will give you time to ascend and take photos, as it offers a breathtaking panoramic view.
• Temple V - Tikal Temple V is one of the most impressive restorations, making it a remarkable discovery. Afterwards, you will walk back to the visitor center to conclude your tour.
• Tikal Park’s Restaurant - At the end of the tour, enjoy a delicious lunch here. Then, you will board the bus again to return to the Isle of Flowers or the Mayan World Airport.
