Tikal - At the main entrance of Tikal National Park, park rangers will conduct the initial ticket check. This marks the start of the Tikal National Park reservation. Tickets are also available online at the Guatemalan government website https://boletos.culturaguate.com/. Two tickets are required for park entry: one costing Q.150.00 per person and the other Q.100.00. Facilities such as restrooms are available here, and the journey continues for another 16 kilometers to the visitor center.

Tikal Visitor Center - At the Tikal National Park visitor center, there is a scale model of Tikal, restroom facilities, a restaurant, craft shops, and coffee. The guide will allow 15 minutes here before proceeding to ticket control and starting the hike through jungle trails. Stops will be made for the local guide to discuss the flora, fauna, and archaeology, leading to the central square.
