The Medicis were interlinked with the majority of the other prominent families of their era via strategic marriages, alliances, or business relations. As a result, they occupied a pivotal role in the societal web. Numerous families could only engage with the upper echelons of society through the Medici’s connections. Families such as the Bardi, Altoviti, Ridolfi, Cavalcanti, and Tornabuoni are prime examples. This interconnectivity is often cited as a key factor in the ascendancy of the Medici family. - Piazza di San Lorenzo - Proceed to the San Lorenzo Church Square, which served as Florence’s cathedral until the 8th century. An Interesting Walk with Medici - Ivano was a super entertaining guide and gave us lots of interesting information about the Medicis. The 90 mins passed really quickly and he ended with giving us tips on food and drinks also, which were very useful.

Dream Tour of my Obsession of the TV Show Medici. - I chose this tour for the specifics of it's title. So, everything that I saw, which was 95% TV show related was a thrill. But my guide Pam was so informative that she threw in lots of other non-show related facts also. She was extremely knowledgeable and very kind and considerate about the pace of the tour based on my walking ability. I was the only guest signed up for the tour that rainy day, so it was great to know that her company fulfilled their commitment and didn't cancel at the last minute. As it turned out the Heavens opened up to beautiful blue skies and white clouds and never rained on us once. Great day, guide and tour.
