  • Via Pietrapiana, 14 - We’ll meet in Sant’Ambrogio, a district in the center of Florence, which will give you a taste for local lifestyle and culture. Not only is it a hub for Florentine life, but it is foodie central. I’ll take you to the market and show you the most AMAZING, vibrant, seasonal produce, and introduce you to my friends at the market. They only let me get the freshest of zucchini, tomatoes, stone fruits, citrus, aromatic herbs, cheeses and salumis. Then I will show you the inside of the market with the local butchers, cheese and salumi guy. You’ll get to try some local artisanal salumi & cheese before we move on to the bakery which makes biscotti you’ll be dreaming about even after you return home, as well as the very best Tuscan bread you’ll ever have.

After we will return to my typical Florentine apartment in Sant’Ambrogio to cook our lunch while hearing the local hustle and bustle of the neighborhood while we cook for the most authentic experience. I’ll help you get a genuine taste that is off the beaten path and not the typical fresh pasta experience.

Once we are ready to cook we’ll enjoy our fresh pasta with some wine selected by me to complement the seasonal pastas we have created

Experience Local Cooking with Fresh Seasonal Produce in an Authentic Italian District of Central Florence

We will embark on a journey through the local farmer’s market, gaining insights into seasonal ingredients, Italian meat processing, and various cheeses and cured meats. Here, based on what’s fresh for the season, we will curate a unique menu featuring two types of fresh pastas and two sauces. After this, we head back to my traditional Florentine apartment situated in the pulsating heart of Sant’Ambrogio neighborhood to immerse ourselves in the local lifestyle. This hands-on cooking workshop will see you preparing two types of pastas, two distinct sauces, and a delightful Tiramisu for dessert. You’ll also get a chance to snack on typical Tuscan bites accompanied by Prosecco or Spritz to keep our spirits high as we cook together. This session is designed with vegetarians in mind.

After the cooking is over, we’ll relish the delicious pasta we’ve prepared, complemented with a fitting wine pairing. We conclude our gastronomical adventure with the Tiramisu we prepared for dessert, serving as our lunch.
