A bucket list experience - An amazing view and a wonderful historic experience. I don't reccomend if you get easily claustrophobic but otherwise a must see! This was my second trip to Florence and I wish I had done this on my first.

Beautiful views and fascinating history - Our guide was friendly and informative. She knew a lot about the history and construction of the dome, cathedral, and baptistry. We're glad we got to see the view from the terrace. If you can handle the stairs, do climb to the top of the dome as well! Spectacular! However, you may want to look into what part of the structure is being restored on the day you mean to visit--that may affect what you are able to access/how your pictures will look.

Well organised - The tour company provided clear and timely information prior to the tour. Our tour guide, Giacomo, was excellent - very informative and amusing. He really brought the subject to life. The climb to the terraces and top of the dome were well worth the effort.

Wonderfull Experience! - On Monday, the 3rd of March, I got to experience the Duomo Cathedral in Firenze with the company CiaoFlorence. We gathered with a small group of four people at the CiaoFlorence tourist office around 14:15h and when complete we left together with the guide to the cathedral. Despite it being very crowded, we were able to have a nice view of the majestic building during the complete tour. The guide was enthusiastic as of the beginning and showed deep understanding and knowledge of what he was talking about. He asked us many questions and gave fun facts and insights here and there. This made the tour engaging and encaptivating for me. After seeing the outside of the Duomo Cathedral, we could enter the building with our ticket from the side. Once arrived inside I was a bit shocked about how empty and sober the interior was in comparison to the outside. The guide explained to us why, but it still disappointed me. luckily, we had the terraces included in the tour. You have to go up a narrow staircase to get there but the view is absolutely worth it. We were the only ones on the terraces at the time, which was wonderful. It really gave that VIP experience as we could see a side of the building that the other tourists couldn't. I was able to take wonderful pictures. In the end the guide gave us the option to go to the complete top of the dome. As there were many many stairs I chose not to. I was already satisfied with the view I had on the terraces. So, to conclude, The Duomo Cathedral tour provided by CiaoFlorence is definitely worth it. It is something you absolutely cannot forget when visiting Firenze. You get to learn a lot, skip a long line of tourists and see the building and city from a different point of view.

Excellent experience - A few days ago, I went on the VIP Duomo Tour booked through Ciao Florence. It was a nice experience as we got to skip the lines and didn't have to wait too long before we could enter (waiting time can be up to 2 hours without skipping the line). The tour started off with the guide explaining some interesting facts about the Duomo, showing and explaining almost every aspect and detail of it. The outside is impressive and it was good to know more about all the faces and also the hierarchy that it has. The guide wanted to engage us in answering and thinking - not just listening to him, which made it interactive. After he explained a lot to us about the Duomo, we were able to enter it within a few minutes. Upon entering, it was clear that the inside was minimalist compared to the outside, which the guide also explained to us. Nevertheless, the Duomo is very impressive, especially after you have learned more about the inside and how long it took to finish the inside. To finish off the tour, we climbed up the stairs where we had an amazing view over the city. Once there, he explained more about our surroundings. If you were still willing to climb the remaining 400+ stairs, it was possible to do so - this would offer an even better view over the city. Overall, I would recommend doing this tour, as you do not have to wait too long before entering and learning more about something is just amazing in my opinion. The ticket also offers you the ability to visit the other parts of the Duomo, such as the baptistery - which I found a nice addition and made it 100% worth the price.
