Wonderful tour! - Susana was our guide at the Bargello, She was on time, spoke great English and knew an extraordinary amount about the pieces in the museum. She tailored our tour to what we were interested in seeing. The Donatello exhibition was showing at the Bargello and the Strozzi when we were there and we wanted to concentrate on the Donatello. She was very obliging and I feel we got a thorough exposure to those pieces of sculpture. Susana was also kind enough to walk us to the Strozzi where we were going to continue our tour on our own. The Strozzi was several blocks away and she knew exactly what shortcuts to take to get us there.

Great Tour for Sculpture Lovers! - We had a wonderful tour today with our English speaking guide, Eleonora. She was extremely knowledgable and provided detailed background to the works of Michelangelo and Donatello during our 2-hour private tour of the Bargello Museum. We started the tour in the nearby Piazza della Signora where a copy of Michelangelo's David stands, and admired the newly restored Neptune Fountain before proceeding into the museum. If you want to learn more about the lives of these artists and the context under which they created the works on display in the Bargello, I highly recommend this tour, and particularly our guide Eleonora.
