Highlights
  • Galleria dell’Accademia - The Accademia Gallery is one of the most exciting museums in the world. Smaller than the Uffizi Gallery, it offers a collection of unique treasures that make a visit a must during your stay in Florence.

This tour was developed with the help of specialists in Art History. As a result, you will be able to see one of the museum’s jewels, that are overlooked by many other agencies: the collection of musical instruments in the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini.

This section includes an original Stradivarius from 1690 made by Antonio Stradivari for the Great Prince, and the first modern piano, which was invented in Florence.

You will then move on to the museum’s other treasures by Michelangelo, and unveil their secrets in the greatest detail. Afterwards, you will discover the artistic pinnacle of Michelangelo’s magnificent David, the symbol of the city of Florence. We will delight you with the secrets and entertaining anecdotes that only these professional guides know.

Time well spent - There was an hour delay for our tour- no fault of our guide ! Donna ? Took us to a Medici Palace in the meantime. She was knowledgeable and shared many insights new to us . This was a first trip to Florence for our granddaughter. Definitely do this tour as it will save time but more importantly will enrich your experience.

A+ experience - Gianna provided an excellent tour. Because our small group tour turned out to be a private tour, we were able to enter the museum a bit early. A couple of hours with Gianna felt like a 3 credit class in art history. Her knowledge of art history is deep, and she was able to help novices like us to understand the art we viewed on an even deeper level. Thanks, Gianna!

Ask for Gianna! The David not to be missed. - Gianna was terrific! Such a passionate and extremely knowledgeable guide! We learned so much, and in addition to plenty of time with David, the musical instruments were incredible. Thank you!

Great guide and well managed museum - Excellent guide and well managed museum. Good flow throughout. Guide gave very good stories and call outs. Covered a lot of information in short amount of time. After tour we went back to museum to look closer at some of the sculptures and paintings. We did visit during low season so crowds were smaller than venue manages during high season.

Memories for a Lifetime - Seeing the David for the first time is a memory you won’t forget. It was so great to have Ghianna there to give us so much history on not only the David but Michangelo himself. The 4 prisoners and other statues around the David would have been nice to see without a guide but Ghianna brought them to life with her stories. She’s obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about art in general.

Great experience - Leticia was a wonderful guide. We took a one hour tour. She provided so much meaningful information in that time. We learned so much about the Medici family and their love of music as well as Michelangelo and David. Loves the tour!

It was ok - The exhibit was great but this is not actually a skip-the-line tour. You skip the public line, but you still have to wait in a significant line for tours. Our guide was nice but we felt like what she shared was a bit repetitive. Because of this, we went way over on time, which made us have to rush to something else.
