Additional Information

I spent several years as an educator, fostering a deep love for one-on-one instruction. Later, my admiration for tile artistry led me down a different vocational avenue where my pedagogical skills found new resonance. I am entranced by the myriad techniques in tile art, be it classic or modern, and relish the chance to amalgamate them all. Above all, my joy is derived from sharing these revelations and instructing in the enchantment of enhancing tiles, encouraging creativity to take flight - all upon a petite canvas.

Fantastic Human experience with Artisans - I do recommend this activity 100% if you are not afraid of Being hand-on or are willing to see gorgeous Ceramic and understand how it's made !! I had the best afternoon of my trip crafstmanship-oriented to Fez thanks to Mohammed who organized this mosaic workshop I went to. Boubacar, the driver picked me up at the riad I was staying and took me to the Art d'Argile complex. There, I have been able to test Pottery with à very gentle instructor. Later I spent à good hours with the zelliges maker. The team was super lovely and we had great fun thanks to the Guide helping us with the translation. They let me draw the pattern onto thé Stone with ink, cut stones with Hammer (they very gently install me on the floor like them and showed me the steps. I was even offered à heart shaped Stone but Driss ! Very sweet), I have been able to choose my mosaic pattern along so many colours and shapes and got shown thé way Step by Step by à very taented and fun instructor that worked on the floor with me. ET VOILÀ ! I came back home with the most amazing souvenir, not even the mosaic itself but the moment I spent with generous artisans happy to share their craft with me. Absolutely no regret ! ;)

Pottery Fun in Fez - We loved the hands-on tile work, which was the primary reason we took this workshop. I think the tour would have been even better if not coupled with sightseeing in the car (which we had done days before and so was repetitive) and if just focused on tile- and pottery-making. It also seemed like the mosaic coop was not expecting us, so there could have been better communication between the tour company that posted this listing and the mosaic coop. The coop manager wondered how I had booked and prepaid for the tour on viator, and had nothing set up for us on arrival. He rallied and quickly set up, and we had a great time, but the start was a bit confusing for all. We ended up tipping the coop on top of paying for the tour, because it wasn’t clear that the mosaic coop was getting any part of the fee we paid to viator.
