Highlights
  • Bab Bou Jeloud - Begin your adventure in the Imperial city of Fez at 09:30 am. Start at the Ancient Medina, a bustling area filled with commercial centers, traditional crafts, fabric works, and buildings dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries. With your local guide, start the tour from the Bab Boujloud Gate, adorned with green and blue faience. Wander through the narrow streets and discover all the famous monuments. Enjoy a panoramic view of the Ancient Medina to appreciate the cultural richness of Fez.

  • Mosque and University Kairaouine - The Quaraouine University, founded in the 9th century, is the oldest university in the world. Around 500 students study various courses such as theology, Koranic law, and Islamic law.

  • Moulay Idriss - Visit the holy site of Moulay Idriss Tomb, where you can see the resting place of Moulay Idriss, the founder of Fez and the Idrissid dynasty.

  • Chouara Tannery - The Chouara Tannery is one of the most remarkable sites where leather is crafted.

  • Fontaine Nejjarine - The Nejjarine Museum is dedicated to the art and trade of woodcraft.

  • Place Seffarine - Seffarine Place is the largest square in the medina, known for its copper work. Here, you can admire the handcrafted metalwork.

  • Bou Inania Medersa - The Bou Inania Madrasa, built in the 14th century, is the most visited theological school in Fez.

  • Aben Danan Synagogue - One of the oldest and most significant synagogues in North Africa, built in the 17th century. The simplicity of the building, with its wooden ceiling and plaster-coated construction, is captivating. The Ibn Danan Synagogue was added to the 1996 World Monuments Watch List and Fund.

  • The Old Jewish Cemetery Of Fes - Stop to take memorable photos at the Jewish Quarter, established in 1438. Very good excursion I recommend - Very beautiful city, we drove around Laville before meeting our guide at the blue gate who showed us around the medina. Thanks to our driver Ismail and our guide, both very kind and very professional. I recommend this tour operator for the quality of its excursion.

Good English Speaker - I was guided by Masaoui Mohamned who I found to be exceedingly patient. He's knowledgeable and he speaks good English. He went out of his way to accompany me on an extend tour which was kind of him. I would say ask for him if he's available.
