Great Experience - This was an incredible experience! It was supposed to be a group class but it ended up being just my partner and I which was a bonus. You start off at the Palais Amani - it’s a beautiful boutique hotel with a gorgeous tiled garden/courtyard. We were served unlimited Moroccan mint tea as we arrived early. We then were guided through the Medina to pick up our ingredients. We also did a culinary tasting tour where we stopped at various vendors for a private tasting. Abdul, our guide, was a great host - very informative and kind! We then returned to the hotel’s rooftop kitchen. The view is great and the setup is very cool. Our cooking lesson was great and we had lots of laughs and encouragement from the chef. We were then served our meal that we cooked in the courtyard downstairs. We were surprised with a basket of samples of the spices we used in our dish, a recipe card, chefs hats, and a certificate. I’m so glad we booked this tour and cooking class!

One of our favorite experiences in Morocco - We took this group cooking class (and Souk visit) with the team at Palais Amani and LOVED it. The guide and chef could not have been nicer. The souk visit to pick out items we then went onto cook was a lot of fun. Shockingly, our dishes came out restaurant quality delicious, which was a nice bonus to an overall great experience. Terrific for families (our young teenage daughters loved it).

The best thing I did in Morocco - We had the best half day with Palais Amani! Such an authentic experience and so much fun. First we shopped in the medina for our ingredients whilst trying some local delicacies. The cooking school is on a beautiful rooftop with a lovely view of Fes. The staff were so lovely and helpful, particularly Loubina We learnt how to make several dishes and got to keep, recipes, spices and our aprons as a souvenir. I would 100% recommend this experience and in fact, we wished we had stayed here too. We really felt we got our moneys worth.

Best thing we did in Morocco - This was the best thing we did in Morocco! Loubna (hostess, translator and chef) and our Chef instructor were absolutely awesome! It started with a tour of the souk and picking out our vegetables and buying spices. And the cooking portion was enjoyable and educational. I couldn’t recommended this enough!

The best cooking class we have ever been to. - We did the cooking class and souk tour at Palais Amani and it was the highlight of our weekend away in Fes! Palais Amani is a family-run business and you could tell because the level of service was very personalised to the customer. The staff instantly made you feel at home and offered mint tea and biscuits upon arrival before the tour started. I highly recommend doing the souk tour before the cooking class to sample local foods and learn how to pick the best quality produce. It was extremely interesting (do note, skip breakfast if you take the morning tour so you can enjoy all the food that’s on offer!) It was the best cooking class we have ever been to. The facilities, location of the cooking class, layout and presentation were all flawless. The instructors and staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable and the experience would not be the same without them all! Abderrahim, Oussama and Younes made every effort possible to make the cooking class flow as smoothly as possible. The experience felt tailored and was very relaxing and enjoyable. Younes even offered to take photos of us and knew the best spots and angles in the hotel to take them. My favourite photos on the trip were taken by Younes. This was really nice because the dress code and the fez hat made for great pictures! Thanks for everything! We would 100 percent recommend it.

Awesome cooking school experience. - From the minute we met Loubna the evening before our cooking class was to happen, we knew it was going to be an amazing experience. She overheard us talking about our selections for the class and came over and explained the options in detail. We arrived the next evening and knew we were in good hands. Loubna, Chef Oussama and assistant Younes were just a delight! Unlike other cooking classes I have gone to, where each person contributes a certain part of the meal, we each prepared our own entire dinner. We all had such a good time, the evening flew by. They were happy to have wine brought up from the hotel bar, and the experience was on the rooftop, which added another fun touch. They also accommodated a vegetarian in our group as a last minute request. This was a highlight of our two-week trip through Morocco. There are probably many options for cooking classes, but I 100% recommend the Fez Cooking School, and ask for Loubna!

Best activity of our trip! - The cooking experience at the Palais Amani was a high point of our 2-week trip to Morocco with friends. Loubna, Younes, and Chef Oussama were fun, entertaining, professional and instructive. I am not a cook but I learned so much! I will definitely be using the recipes and tricks they taught me at home. Best of all, they were very accommodating— I’m basically a vegetarian but figured I’d just go along for fun but they immediately changed the menu to instruct me in making a vegetable tajine while my friends made chicken. They are an amazing team — you’ll learn a lot ( in a beautiful rooftop setting), laugh a lot, and eat a great meal at the end! Best meal we had in Fez!

A Wonderful Evening To Remember! - Our cooking class with Chef Loubna, assisted by Younes and Oussama, may have been the high point of our trip of a lifetime to Morocco. She is a delight, personable and fun. The dinner we made was outstanding and taught us a number of things about Moroccan cooking that we did not know. It was a delightful evening for our three traveling couples and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Palais Amani was absolutely exquisite and I recommend both to anyone who is Fes bound. Thank you Loubna for making our experience so memorable. We hope to see you again!

Delicious food, excellent company, and a great way to experience Fez! - Fun day in the souks in the Medina gathering ingredients and trying local foods along the way. Returned to Palais Amani to learn how to cook delicious chicken tajine with preserved lemon. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip; great way to immerse yourself in the Moroccan culture. Lubna, or guide from Palais Amani, helped make this a memorable experience for us. She has a great sense of humor and so fun to be around. Chef taught us a lot. Looking forward to putting our new Tajine cooking skills to the test back home using the recipe and spices gifted to us at the end of our class. 10/10 would recommend.

A fun day. - Three of us joined another couple of groups for a total of seven for this cooking school experience. It was a fun day, including a little tour through the Medina sampling some small things such as Bisarra soup, mint tea, etc. We also picked up our vegetables for the tajine we were going to make. Loubna led the class, and made it fun and informative. After what was a fairly long day, we enjoyed our meal in the lovely dining area in the gardens of the Palais Amani. I would definitely recommend this.
