Perfect experience for food lovers - Definitely a 5Star experience. It was more than interesting visiting the market together for getting al the ingredients for our dinner. Cooking on the rooftop with the chef was brilliant. Afterwards the self cooked dinner was served in the lovely garden of Palais Amani.

The cooking school at Palau Amani was just the best! Maybe the most unique experience of our trip - We had such a fantastic experience with Loubna and Chef guiding us through the souk to gather food for dinner and we LOVED all the stops at vendors for their favorite street food snack! It was an incredible experience. We loved hearing about how they grew up in the medina bc where they used to go as children. the cooking experience was also fantastic and our meal was delicious! They guided us through everything making the day truly a unique and authentic experience

Great cooking class - fun instructors! - Great experience. It was just my partner and I and they ran a private class for us! The market was closing based on the day we went but our instructor and the staff were very kind, funny, and welcoming!

Outstanding !!! - That was an outstanding experience, which is hard to beat in terms of quality, mood and overall richness of experience. It was a hospitality experience at it’s best. To start with - the team (host and chef) were amazing - they feel their clients and are able to adjust to the needs, moods, interest. While shopping in the market for food for cooking, they encouraged to try different foods on the go (e.g. fava beans soup, snacks, desserts in traders stands always emphasizing what is safe from their experience), also shared the stories behind eating culture, Fez etc. They managed to create the mood, that it seemed that we all enjoyed time together. The place itself - Amani palace - is a gem, it is very beautifull, quiet, with lush garden inside. Once inside, we were served Moroccan tea by a very pleasent tea man, who kept us company and was very welcoming, also the service at the table after we get to enjoy what we cooked was perfect. The cooking class is very enjoyable itself, the host did such a great job helping our 12y old son, that we all left inspired and had great time together. Very much recommended even by such picky clients as we are.

A Taste of Magic with a Stunning View - A truly fascinating cooking class! We started with tea served in the enchanting setting of the palace. Then, the two chefs came to meet us and took us to the market. After that, we headed to the kitchen — each of us had our own cooking station. And that’s when the magic happened: all those colors, the stunning view over Fez from our classroom, and above all, the kindness of the two chefs. We thoroughly enjoyed those four hours spent with them. What a pleasure! And the dishes we tasted at the end were absolutely delicious. A big thank you to you!

Perfect Date Activity in Fes - My partner and I did the cooking class at Palais Amani and it was one of our favorite things we did in Fes. We started with a quick market trip, then cooked on the rooftop with a great chef who made it really easy and fun. The food came out so good and the whole experience felt really special and laid-back. Perfect date activity.

Great place. Lovely people. - I did this class with my sister. It was fantastic. Miriam and chef were great. Engaged, interesting, knowledgeable and fun. The trip to the market was like a food tour as well as a shopping tour. The Riad we cooked in was stunning. Five stars do it.

Best international cooking class ever! - My family and I are foodies and well traveled. This is the best cooking class we've attended, bar none! Chef Loobna was welcoming, witty and an excellent teacher. The three course meal consisting of tomato and eggplant baba ganoush, lemon chicken with caramelized onions in a tagine, and an elegant stacked dessert was the best meal I've ever cooked. Then, we were served our own creations in their fine dining restaurant, provided with detailed recipes, and Chef Loobna made dining recommendations for the rest of our stay in Fez. I understand you can also take the optional to our market shopping tour that accompanies the cooking class if you have the time.

A lot of potential but didn't work for us. - We were booked in here as part of our Morocco tour. I see this is advertised on TripAdvisor for up to 10 people. I think that's where our session started to go wrong, there were 20+ people and there just wasn't enough support to help it along. The chef spent her time shouting out instructions over the general chaos. She was assisted by only one other person who darted through the group turning on gas rings and trying to assist in the understanding. It was clear that they were totally overwhelmed with the task at hand. This meant that progress and results were varied. Some people's food was dried out in the pan whilst others had not sufficiently been reduced. I could go on.... We went to the market to buy vegetables and we all returned with our own personally selected items. But .. once we returned all the bags were collected for the veg to be washed and then we were given a random selection to cook with. All personal choice was lost. I see that there are several 5* reviews on TripAdvisor and I can accept that. It just didn't happen during our session. The large group was clearly never going to work smoothly - a shame.
