- Bou Inania Madrasa - The most architecturally refined of Fez’s theological colleges was built by the Merinid sultan Bou Inan between 1351 and 1357. Beyond the massive brass entrance doors, its interior courtyard is a masterpiece of elaborate zellige tilework, carved plaster and beautiful cedar lattice screens. Smaller courts off either side functioned as classrooms, and students lived upstairs.

Fez Day Trip primarily focuses on exploring and uncovering the secrets of Fès el-Bali (Old Fez) medina. Your journey will include tours to Medrassa Bou Inania, Nejjarine Fountain, Attarine Square, and Karaouine Mosque (only exterior). The adventure begins at Bab Boujlloud Gate.
The path will lead you through the souk of instrument makers before reaching the Mzara of former ruler Moulay Idriss, located where the town’s construction decision was made.
