In this tour, you’ll explore the Jewish quarter, Fez medina’s fortifications, the Jnan Sbil gardens, the Royal Palace’s entrance, the Merinids Tombs, Chouara tanneries, a wide-ranging pottery and mosaics workshop, and the towers of Bab Ftouh and Bab Boujloud. Each location and monument’s history will be narrated to you.

Highlights
  • Fez Mellah - Mellah is the jewish neighborhood of Fez. It is also the oldest jewish neighborhood in Morocco. There, you will see the old synagogue, the jewish cimetery and the attractions of Mellah.
  • Jardin Jnan Sbil - The gardens of Jnan Sbil were the royal gardens. Today, everyone can walk in this beautiful place. It is ideal to walk away from the hustle and bustle of the medina.
  • Fes el-Jdid - After leaving the gardens of Jnan Sbil, we will see the Royal Palace Gates. Currently, it is not possible to enter the Royal Palace. But the Royal Palace gates are a must to see thanks to its beautiful architecture.
  • Marinid Tombs - The dynasty of the Merinids were the founder of Fez. Some of the dynasty members are buried on a small hill overviewing the Fez medina. Today, it is possible to visit these tombs and admire the view from there.
  • Chouara Tannery - The Chouara tanneries is unique in Fez where the leather is colored in many vats with pigments. After being colored, the leather will be worked to become clothes, bags or shooes. It’s a must to see in Fez!
  • Fes el-Bali - The visit of Fez is a good opportunity to discover Moroccan crafts, especially the pottery and mosaics workshops.
