  • 102 Centre St - In Fernandina the history can be a little unlike any other history in America. We pride ourselves in having eight separate flags that flew over our island in a short period of 300 years. Many king of the mountain types came here in hopes of conquering our island. The question is why would so many different people groups choose Fernandina over other parts of North America? In our tour we will discuss all of these mysteries along with exploring the streets and homes that were built just prior to and after the Civil War.

Great Restaurant scene - We visit so many Florida small towns, non are like Fernandina Beach Florida. So many are disappointing. Fernandina is a great town on Beautiful Amelia Island Florida. The best restaurants in North Florida too! Nicest locals and great weather.

History breathes life into an area - We have been to Fernandina Beach many times and admired the town and historic homes, but the opportunity to know some of the history behind the town helps to understand the importance of certain buildings and houses as well as the military and pirate activity in the area. All very interesting, the tour is well worth it.

Thanks for the history of Amelia Island! - What a tour! Tim was excellent, knowledgeable and charismatic. We had a woman in a wheelchair with us and he was so attentive to her needs why we were walking. I highly recommend this tour while on the island, you learn so much history from Tim.

Our guide Tim kept the energy going! - Our guide Tim was amazing! He showed so much energy and knowledge! He was very engaging throughout the two-hour tour and he shared very insightful observations together with the interesting historical facts about the area. Tim has a great sense of humor too! (be prepared to bring water and wear sunscreen if your tour is during the summer months, there were no bathroom breaks, wear comfortable shoes as there is some walking and a lot of standing)

Very informative - The walking tour with Timothy was very good. We learned a lot about the history of Amelia Island and got to see a lot of historic buildings and homes. Things that we would not even have seen or known existed without taking the tour. We would recommend this to anyone, perhaps maybe not with small children as it is a lengthy walk and it is Florida so it is hot and humid. Bring a water bottle. If I could give one suggestion it would be to see if Timothy could take the tour inside at least 1 building to see some of what he describes from the outside. Many places are residential now so I get it that it would be difficult, but I would love to see the inside of like the post office or one of the old churches or something. All in all, my wife and I enjoyed it and were glad we did it. Get out there people and learn some history!! Thanks again Timothy.

Decent Tour - The tour guy was knowledgeable, but too many "ghost" stories, we went on the tour to learn more about the history of the area, homes, etc. We finally said we were not interested in hearing anymore "ghost" tales. On another note, he was knowledgeable and showed us quite a few homes and provided the background/history.
