• Tianjin Railway Station - The journey to Tianjin will be by high-speed train, departing around 9:00. Upon arrival at Tianjin Railway Station, you will be greeted by sights such as the Haihe River, Jinwan Plaza, Liberation Bridge, and the Century Clock.
• Jiefang North Road - Explore the former French and British concessions along Jiefang North Road (Tianjin Financial Street). Discover historical buildings like the first post office of the Qing Dynasty, clubs, barracks, consulates, foreign firm buildings, police station, parliament buildings, Astor Hotel, Anglican Church, and more. Enjoy the diverse styles of Western architecture and learn about the stories from 100 years ago, as well as the earliest urban landscape of China.
• Five Great Avenues - Visit the Xiaobailou (Little White Building) area, once the most prosperous area in Tianjin a century ago. Dine at Keissling, one of the four Western restaurants in China. The Five Great Avenues is a traditional residential area with five east-west streets, once the largest affluent living area in China. Today, it features former residences of historical figures and various buildings, earning it the nickname “All Countries Architecture Expo.” The visit will be by car.
• Italian Style Street - The Italian Style Town, located in the former Italian concession, is now a vibrant area for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Sample local street food like Chinese crepes (Tianjin Jianbing) and explore historic sites such as Marcopolo Square, Piazza Dante, the former Italian club, and residences of historical figures. Enjoy lunch nearby.
• Ancient Culture Street (Gu Wenhua Jie) - Tianjin Ancient Cultural Street is a traditional shopping street near the Tianhou Palace, the oldest building in Tianjin. Situated at the confluence of three rivers, the birthplace of Tianjin, it showcases the city’s evolution and local customs. Discover local traditional crafts like Yangliuqing New Year Picture and clay figure Zhang, and try local snacks such as earhole fried rice cake and Shibajie fried dough twists. • Ferris Wheel, Eye of Tianjin - Known as the Tianjin Eye, this Ferris wheel is uniquely built on a bridge across the river at the new confluence of three rivers, at the head of the Haihe River. Enjoy the view from a good vantage point and take a photo, but entry is not included.
• Jingyuan - Visit Jingyuan (Jing Garden), one of the former residences of celebrities in Tianjin. It was the residence of the Last Emperor of China, Puyi, who lived there from 1929 to 1931. Learn about the history of that period.
• HePing Lu ShangYeJie - Discover the Porcelain House, a French-style building adorned with porcelain pieces, vases, and ornaments. Stroll along the traditional pedestrian shopping streets of Heping Road and Binjiang Road, two of the busiest shopping streets in modern Tianjin with a history of about 120 years. Experience the commercial atmosphere and culture of the city, with time-honored shops like Quanyechang (Tianjin Bazaar) and modern stores lining the streets.
• Tianjin Haihe Cultural Square - Take a leisurely walk along the Haihe River, appreciating the river view and experiencing the local lifestyle. Afterwards, return to Tianjin Railway Station to await the train back to Beijing South Railway Station, arriving around 19:40. The driver will then take you back to the hotel.
