Highlights
  • Palais Benedictine - The Benedictine Palace, an architectural masterpiece of Gothic and Renaissance inspiration, was erected at the end of the 19th century in honour of the Benedictine liqueur by Alexandre Le Grand, a wine merchant from Fécamp, who had found a recipe created in 1510 by a Benedictine monk in a grimoire.

This eclectic building will introduce Bénédictine through a unique experience. They will first explore the museum, which houses rich collections of sacred and ancient art related to Benedictine heritage, as well as a room dedicated to its industrial history. The guided tour then leads to the only Benedictine distillery in the world, with its hammered copper stills of the 19th century, and to the cellars. Visitors then head to La Vérrière where a tasting is offered* of our liqueur

Unavoidable !!! - Since the arrival of the new director, the palace has had a makeover and new rooms have either been reopened or renovated. It's absolutely beautiful. As for the tasting.... Hmmm! Unmissable visit to the region

Stunning - Very nice discovery, friendly and attentive staff. Superb collections of objects. The whole thing ends with a tasting of the liqueur at each stage of its maturation. This allows us to have a better understanding of how Bénédictine is made. All in a magnificent building.

Superb place - Superb building, the rooms are magnificent both for the historical part and for the production and tasting part. The guide was very good, we could feel her passion for the subject! A downside though, the visit is done in 2 distinct parts: 45 minutes independently for the historical part and 45 minutes with a guide for the manufacturing and tasting part. The first part can be done via an audio guide application and/or the explanatory panels installed in the rooms. The problem being that 45 minutes is much too short if you are a little curious and like to take the time to read all the explanations... you therefore come away a little frustrated from this visit (20 euros, undoubtedly a high price because the building is owned by Bacardi) when you are a history buff..

Very disappointed - This note corresponds more exactly to a “no visit” What a shame, why offer a single price for a visit with tasting at a single price of €25 per person? Many potential visitors turned around like us. It would be wise to offer a simple tour of the collections and guided tour of the distillery without tasting or other "olfactory and taste experiences" at a price that is a little less unreasonable, and which would satisfy a larger number of people. (especially since the tasting can be done at the La Verrière cocktail bar, adjacent to the museum)

a dissuasive entry price! - A prohibitive entry ticket which could be absorbed by the advertising linked to the place. Wouldn't it be possible to offer free entry with the purchase of a bottle of Bénédictine? Everyone would be a winner, including the town of Fécamp.

Disappointing - Very disappointed by the welcome we were refused to enjoy a cocktail at 5:50 p.m. on the pretext of closing at 6:30 p.m.
