Great BAZZAR DAY - Picture includes alternate tour guide and my wife with the hat. He guided us thru the maze of shops to a few that he trusted. Scarfs and jewelry and coats. Bargain/ it is expected. 25% of original asking price is where things get serious. Never give them a number. Just keep asking for their best price. Have guide Was fantastic- he had great English skills, friendly , met us at our hotel and took us to the bazzar via public transportation. This was an extra as our hotel was near where he lived. He Is a lawyer by education. Can’t say enough positive things We went early like 9am when bazzar opens, fewer crowds

Fabulous introduction and guide at the Istanbul Grand Bazaar - Fabulous tour of the great bazaar tailored to my interests, meeting the welcoming people and viewing their beautiful wares. Gokay was a friendly and knowledgeable host that knew the right people, even minding our luggage as we perused the huge markets. Highly recommended activity.

Grand Bazzar with a Friend - Going to the Grand Bazzar with Gokay is like going shopping with a friend. We first met for this tour in Aug 2022 and I returned with colleagues a year later. Not only does he know the layout and history of the market, but can help you find anything specific you are searching for. Grand Bazzar can be very overwhelming and I can highly recommend joining him to make your day fun and enjoyable.

Absolute best tour guide in Istanbul! Book him! - Goaky is the absolute best! I’ve taken 3 tours with him over the past year and each time he has catered to my group’s needs and priorities! He helped me buy the most amazing Turkish rugs to bring home, toured us through the markets and surrounding areas. It was so nice to not have to worry about navigating the streets and to just be led by him! He is flexible, fun, knowledgeable and a delight. Cannot recommend him enough.

Great Shopping Experience - This experience is 100% worth it. Gökay is friendly, respectful, and very accommodating. The bazaar can be overwhelming and he made it an enjoyable experience. We visited quality stores, I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything and he provided great tips for negotiating prices. I highly recommend if you want to navigate the bazaar efficiently and enjoy it.

Fantastic shopping experience - I liked my first shopping trip with Gokay so much that I booked another when my friend arrived a week after I did. It was way less overwhelming going with a local than going by ourselves - no one bothered us, and Gokay already had knowledge of where to go based on what we were looking for. My friend and I were looking for towels, rugs, lamps, fine jewelry, replica handbags, and replica watches. The quality of the stores he took is to was fantastic, especially the jewelers. We came home with some gorgeous 22k gold pieces for pretty good prices. He was able to translate when needed and let us know when we could negotiate harder and when we could not. The bag and watch places he took us to were also great and I got a phenomenal replica bag, and we would never have known about or been able to find the places he took us to on our own, there are just too many places and the bazaar is too big. I ended up going to a different store for the towels than he took us to, but it helped that he could give us realistic ideas of what to pay and why. I will definitely book another session with Gokay the next time I am in Istanbul.
