You will learn about Ebru art and about the materials. I will teach you about the traditional designs in marbling as well as techniques: stone, back and forth, comb design, and flowers –tulip, hyacinth, carnation. You can take your painting home with you once dry.

Our art studio is located in Sultanahmet and is on the 3rd floor. Please note there is no elevator access and may be difficult for elderly and persons with disabilities. Just 2 minutes away from the Topkapi Palace. We have the best view of the Bosphorus

A fantastic afternoon - What a great experience! Highlight of our trip! We booked the Turkish Marbling class and it was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Our kids (4 and 6) loved learning how to make the designs and Betul and her husband were so helpful and kind with them. We each learned how to make 4 to 5 different design techniques, each unique! Best of all, you get to take your art home!

Excellente! - Together with my two friends, we shared a moment of transmission, precision, relaxation, and creative freedom with Betül hocam. Out of all the ebru classes, this was the best. You can go with your eyes closed — but we still recommend opening them, because the 360° view is breathtaking. People who love their craft and know it well. Thank you, Betül hocam.

Fantastic Experience - This was a fantastic workshop suitable for everyone. Ali was a great teacher who explained things clearly and made it easy for you to create beautiful work. I loved how he explained the history behind the art as well. This was beyond my expectations and i would highly recommend it 😀

Fun and Unique Family Activity - The paper marbling class was one of the highlights of our trip to Istanbul. Highly recommend as a great memory-making activity for families. My husband and I thought it was a fun experience and our 10 year-old son deemed it “really cool.” The instructor, Betul, was amazing and the staff was helpful and courteous.! I can’t wait to return home and have a few of our pieces framed. If you are looking for a unique experience in Istanbul, this traditional art making class is it.

Wonderful time making marble paper in Sultanahmet - We couldn't have had more fun making marble paper (Ebru). The children, aged 9 and 11, kept making masterpiece after masterpiece through out the time we were there. The location next to the Topkapi palace is perfect, as is the view from the top floor. Lovely couple gives expert and encouraging instruction. Highly recommended for all ages - no skill required. Great stress relief!

Spectacular. We couldn't stop smiling throughout the class. - We held an Ebrú workshop with Ali and it was the best experience here in Istanbul. The welcome, the class, the place... It's all been ten overall. We'll repeat when we definitely get back.

Awesome paper marbling class! - Our family had an incredible time with Betul and Ali. They were so knowledgeable, talented, friendly and patient with us. We made some awesome decorative papers, and we were surprised how calming and interesting and approachable the whole class was. Their studio is bright, spacious, and had the best terrace with views of the Bosphorous. We highly recommend taking a class here!

Best experience ever. - We had an AMAZING experience! Our instructor Betul was the best teacher, very patient and informative and gave us opportunities to make plenty of art. All of our marbling papers came out wonderfully. I 1000% recommend this workshop for everyone who want an wonderful opportunity and learn a new craft.
