Superb guide for the whole family at Basilica Cistern - Nuri was truly an expert guiding us through the Basilica cistern and sharing not only his knowledge about the place, but also other key sites in Istanbul. He demonstrated a lot of care listening and answering all the questions including from my under 10 kids who were very excited and curious listening all he had to say. He kept us all engaged and allowed us to go at our own pace, even helping with photo spots as I’m a photographer enthusiast. We really had a good time and leant things that we would have missed and would have changed the significance and memories of that amazing place. Highly recommended and I wish Nuri the best in his Spanish so next time we do a tour with him, we can choose btw Turkish, Japanese, English or Spanish 🙂

Basilica Cistern tour - I absolutely loved the guided tour of the Basilica Cistern! Our guide was super friendly and full of stories that made the place come alive. Instead of just walking past the columns, we learned about the history, the clever Byzantine engineering, and of course the Medusa heads (which were even cooler once you know the myths behind them!). The best part was skipping the long line and getting straight in. The tour gave us a great overview, then we had time to wander around and take photos at our own pace. The atmosphere down there is magical, and having someone explain the details made it even more special. Highly recommend this tour—it’s the perfect way to experience the cistern!

Brilliant guide full of history and tips!! - We met Nuri Erbay at the Basilica Cistern, and his tour was absolutely fantastic. He shared so many details you’d easily miss without a guide, with a wealth of truly interesting information. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to continue with him to Hagia Sophia and then the Hippodrome. He revealed so many secrets, offered fascinating historical corrections, and really brought everything to life. On top of that, he gave us great practical tips for our visit. Highly recommended!
