Ria Formosa Natural Park - Enjoy the pleasure of sailing in a magnificent place. Visit the Ria Formosa salt marsh in the Algarve in Portugal, covering an area of about 18,400 hectares along 60 kilometers from the river Ancão to the beach of Manta Rota.
In 1978, it was established as a nature reserve and at the end of 1987, it became a natural park. Most of its area corresponds to the lagoon system of the Ria Formosa, composed of islands and sandy peninsulas arranged parallel to the coast, protecting a lagoon.
At the park, discover the natural habitat of several rare species such as the common cayman, the flamingo and the round-winged eagle. Another inhabitant of the park, almost extinct in Europe, is the chameleon. Go deep inside this ecosystem, while enjoying the pleasure of sailing. If you like, the skipper will teach and mentor you on how to perform some of the sailing tasks, so you can feel like part of the crew. Choose your itinerary, and if you would like to, stop at some of the barrier islands.

Great sailing experience! - Thank you Paolo for an exiting first sailing experience! We had a a lot of fun and we enjoyed the sailing lesson and all the information you shared with us. We decided to book this tour because we did not want to be on a crowded boat and we can definitely recommend to book this trip!

Private first sailing ⛵️ lessons - Was a great experience with Paulo. We got our first sailing lessons 👌🏻 we were only 2 persons - so it was very individual and personal experience. Nice boat and Paulo was very friendly.

Very good first experience - Our instructor Paulo was very professional and friendly. He explained the basics of sailing and let us handle the boat also and happily answered any questions we had. Everything went very smooth, from the meeting in the marina until he dropped us off. This is a perfect trip if you want to get away from the crowds, want to learn something about sailing and want to enjoy the beauties of Ria Formosa. Highly recommended.

Calm, Immersive Sailling Experience - Paulo hosted our party of 4 aboard his sailboat. He met us on shore after giving very precise directions on parking and the meeting area on the marina. From start to finish, Paulo was friendly, helpful, and interesting to chat to. We had a blast sailing at a leisurely pace. He didn't shy away from any questions and gave us a wonderful experience sailing in the Ria Formosa.
