A Peaceful Afternoon. - When they say a quiet boat trip, that is exactly what it is. The trip was amazing and far exceeded our expectations. The guide, an ex-fisherman fro Olhao, was knowledgeable - knew his birds, accommodating - knew the birds' names in 4 languages!, kind - provided us with jackets so we wouldn't be cold. we were all given binoculars. The guide knew the region, the landmarks, the channels, the best places to search. We saw many different birds and plants and the silence when he pulled into the shallows was wonderful. The experience differs between high and low tide, so decide which you prefer. The boat is small - we had 6 passengers- and could be tricky if you are unsure on your feet - the guide however is good to help. We thought it was good value and would happily go again.

Bird watching tour - Excellent bird watching tour. Guide very knowledgable and pointed out many different species of birds (I think it came to 22 in total). On board binoculars great quality and they had blankets if you were chilly. The boat is solar powered and really quiet so you can get up close to the birds. I would recommend this trip if you’re interested in getting good views of the wildlife.

Great birding. - Our guide, Luis, was very knowledgeable and pointed out countless species of birds. The solar-powered boat was smooth and quiet and did not disturb the residents. We would highly recommend this 2.5 hour excursion. BTW: There is a 20 minute stop at a beach that has a WC!

Peaceful and interesting experience - A peaceful few hours spent in good company in the channels of the Ria Formosa lagoon. Our guide Luiz was friendly and knowledgeable, in a variety of languages :) We saw many different birds; stork, heron, egret, kingfisher, osprey, flamingo and others. Binoculars were supplied👍🏻

Birdwatching from the solar powered boat - A delightful way to see birds on the lagoon, with a small group advised by a knowledgeable skipper. An easy experience for solo travelers- just make sure you find the meeting location in time! (online photo of the office was helpful) Easy distance from train and bus stations. And near to the old town. I really enjoyed travelling in the silent boat, gliding up near to the muddy banks to get close to lots of birds: we saw spoonbills, plovers, redshanks, whimbrels, an eagle flying overhead, as well as all the usual gulls, oystercatchers etc. An experience to remember.

Bird photographers must do! - Lush was a great guide. We had very windy weather but we were able to see several things anyway. We really enjoyed our tour and highly recommend it to any bird watcher. Bring the big glass....I got some great shots!

Fantastic experience - I was very satisfied with the boat tour, even though I didn’t expect much because the weather was very cloudy, and rain was also forecasted. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the eco boat was, how knowledgeable the guide was, and how much respect was shown for the birds' habitat. Together with the group, we spotted over thirty different species, more than seventy percent of which were new to me. The highlight of the tour was definitely seeing an osprey and a kingfisher. For anyone thinking of bringing a camera like I did to take photos, I highly recommend having a long lens or even a teleconverter, though keep in mind that on cloudy days, photos may come out dark. I’m attaching a few of my photos, but overall, I’m really very happy with the experience. It exceeded my expectations, and I can highly recommend it to everyone. The guide was excellent, with a great sense of humor and attitude. People should have in mind that this is not a zoo - what you are going to see depends on weather, birds, luck and a lot of patience, so people who love and respect the nature are going to enjoy this tour!

Don’t do it if it’s cold, windy, or rainy - It got windy, cold, rainy out of nowhere (not on the forecast) just before our tour started. Definitely could have been an enjoyable experience if it wasn’t raining and cold. The guide explained that it rarely rained, so our group must have had bad luck. The group was offered the option to do 1 hour and receive a partial refund or go the full 2 hours—this would have been awful. The group chose the partial refund option. I do feel like they should have offered the option for a full refund/ just cancelling. I still gave it 4 stars because there were blankets on board and the guide offered his jacket to me. He said he wasn’t cold but I’m not sure if I believed that! I appreciated the jacket! We did see 12 species of birds.
