Additional Information

Hailing from a lineage of local fishermen and shellfish collectors, I’ve spent my entire life oscillating between Faro City and Ria Formosa. It’s always been my ultimate playfield. I hold an insurmountable passion for the sea, particularly sport fishing.
Even though I’ve dabbled in various facets of hospitality previously, I’ve cemented my identity as a professional Skipper for different companies over the last three years. Presently, I’ve decided to pursue my authentic calling.
For this boat excursion, we’ll embark from Faro Marina at 10AM and our voyage will cover the Desert Island (the southernmost point in Continental Portugal), The Saint Mary Lighthouse Village on Culatra Island, and Culatra Village (an archetypal Portuguese fishing community).
During the tour, there is likelihood of sighting and observing diverse species of fauna and flora, along with the customs and daily life of the National Park.
The boat tour requires a minimum of 2 participants or a sole participant who can cover the cost of two places.

Location
Ocean Vibes Algarve

Great boat tour - We had a great time on the one day boat tour, we didn't end up going outside the islands as the waves were too big, so we visited 3 islands, saw dolphin and flamingo. I would highly recommend his company rather than others, we found him by chance as all the commercial company tours were sold out for the two days we were available.

Exploring Faro Coast with a Local - Our Air BnB host gave us Pudim's number. It could not have been a more worthwhile experience! I highly recommend taking to sea with Pudim, especially so upon arrival on Faro to get to know the island in comfort. There is no better way to explore the Faro coast than with this local guide, Pudim answered all our questions too! He was knowledgeable, kind to the environment and uplifting. Pudim was a pleasure to communicate with, with a knowledgeable understanding of the encouragement and perfect English. We decided to do a U-turn from our original extortion to the first island to inquire about some sighted Dolphins. God blessed us and Pudim skills at the sea to witness a family of Dolphins and sea eagles. I enjoyed a beautiful sunset and truly made memories for a lifetime. We packed our little snacks for the boat; we were safe, comfortable and relaxed. Little Island had some lovely foods on offer. I would highly recommend and will take on Pudim's other offers of tours when I return.

Our 3 hour tour 👍 - My husband and I took the 3 hour tour with Skipper Pudim and it was definitely a highlight of our stay in Faro! Purim made our trip so enjoyable by providing so much information about the water , islands and wildlife. Our tour included 2 stops at Deserta island and Lighthouse Island which were both very interesting to have a walk around and explore a beautiful secluded beach and on the 2nd island a quaint and quiet village. If we were staying in Faro for a longer time , we would love to do Purim’s fishing tour! Thanks Skipper Pudim for a great tour!! Kathy from Canada 🇨🇦

An adventure along beautiful street - Captain Pudim and his companion made us spend an incredible and enriching morning along the Ria Formosa and out to sea. During our tour, everything that surrounded us was explained in maximum detail, from the smallest animals, birds and even the history of the city of Faro. True enthusiasts for those who love listening to a good story and experiencing it at the same time. Always very careful about our well-being! Although the weather wasn't very famous (cloudy) we were very lucky and managed to observe many dolphins. And how loving they are! I just have to thank Captain Pudim and his partner for the beautiful morning spent with my family.

Excellent boat tour - Thank you Nuno for the fantastic boat trip of your 'office' & 'playground'. Nuno was a wonderful host who shared a lot about the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, history, formations, flora and fauna & much more. Island hopping with beautiful beaches were a wonderful way to spend the day!

An unforgettable experience - Pudim does a great tour, identifying birds, answering questions, giving an insight into local lives & livelihoods. The weather was sunny & the water calm but it was still choppy on the way back due to tides & wind. It being low tide when we visited the islands made it very difficult for our 88 year old mother to climb up onto the jetty steps. Pudim did his best to make it easier, with a step stool and by asking another (bigger) tour operator if we could step through his boat. During our tour Pudim took a call from the licensing authority saying they'd granted a licence for his new bigger boat that had been waiting in the marina since November so the issues we encountered will not be a problem now. Coffees at the 'deserted island' are expensive & service slow, so I'd give that a miss. Pudim showed us to a fish restaurant on Culatra island where we enjoyed an excellent lunch. Pudim is trying hard to build his own business and deserves to be successful so please support him if you can.

Best boat tour - I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the Algarve. It was the highlight of our visit, Pudim was very welcoming and friendly. He showed us many spots and different birds. It’s a very intimate experience and something definitely worth doing. Also he will be getting a bigger boat for more people so make sure you check that out. Thanks for the experience Pudim
