Wonderful resorts - Book this as an extra on our crusie. Loved this place. Never done a zipline but Tameka and Fitz we amazing. They were helpful when my mom had a freak out over heights. Tameka was very informative abut the history of the plantation. Did the rivertubing as well, President and Palmer were so funny and made the experience so enjoyed. Had a beautiful pool area and was able to try some really amazing food. Amazing staff and beautiful location. I cant wait to return again.

Good but could be GREAT! - Zip lines were great! Jermaine and Coby were amazing guides! They made it entertaining and enjoyable. There are only 5 lines but they are all fun! They share information about the area and engage with clients. The river tour was a lot of fun! I forget our guides name but he was hilarious! The river was a little slow because the water level was low but that’s Mother Nature not the park itself. The staff in at the bar and cash register in the gift shop were not very friendly. Monique never smiled or seemed interested in what we were asking. I work in the customer service industry and I can honestly say, they were the low point of the experience.

Ziplining fun in Falmouth, Jamaica - The ziplining was fun and felt very safe. Our guides, Fritz and Onesto, were great. We were well taken care of and all employees were very concerned about our equipment being fitted well. My eight year old grandson was apprehensive and Fritz rode with him on the first zipline. That gave him confidence to do the other five alone. My husband does not like heights but had no problem zipping through the trees. I highly recommend this as a fun adventure for the entire family.

Great for families but beware of transportation with little kids - Visited with my husband, 7 year old and 1 year old. Zip lining: My husband and 7 year old did the zip lining and loved it. My son did get “stuck” on the longer zipline (not enough speed perhaps) but the guide quickly got out to him and helped him in. They had about 10 people in their group so a bit of waiting between people wasn’t super great for an antsy 7 year old. There were also lots of mosquitos and my husband and son got bit multiple times despite using bug spray so would recommend wearing pants and long sleeves. The photographer captured some great action shots, which was so fun for me to see since I did not go with them. Tubing: I then did the tubing with my 7 year old after. It wasn’t super thrilling for him but our guide, O’Shine was wonderful. It was just my son and me on our tour so we got lots of personalized time with the guide. Unfortunately, the photographer did not photograph us as with the larger groups so that was a bit disappointing. At the end of the tour, we got to jump into the river and swim for a bit. It was so refreshing! Overall, I enjoyed the tour, but it’s definitely not a “thrill”, more of a guided history lesson on calm waters. Pool, waterfall, slide: After our excursions, we hung out in the pool, jumped from the waterfall, and rode the water slide which was so fun and FAST! There is a life guard on duty who was helping the younger kids in the splash down area. There were plenty of chairs, hammocks, and loungers to use. There’s also a large cabana area that be rented. The bar was fully stocked and restaurant had delicious authentic Jamaican food. All is at an added cost that is not included in the excursion pricing. Transportation: Transportation was available from our hotel however there was a miscommunication and they did not have enough room for our family of 4 or our stroller, which we did not know until the minute they came to pick us up. We were not refunded the cost of the transportation and had to pay $180 USD for a private taxi last minute. It needed to working out better that way because we got a history lesson from our taxi driver and were able to leave when we wanted (the taxi drivers wait for you the whole day). The road leading to the facility is long and very bumpy but we did not mind as we got to see lots of animals and scenery. Overall: We’d definitely do Chukka again with private transportation. Our 1 year old had fun as did our 7 year old so there is something for everyone. You can come and enjoy the grounds and food or do any of the offered excursions.

First time ziplining! - Did the Zipline excursion via MSC Cruise Line. Short drive to Chukka. Property was beautiful and has something for everyone. Our guides were great! Keno and (I'm so sorry can't remember his name, but he's pictured below). They explained the safety rules and made sure everyone was comfortable at all times. The pool area was relaxing. Can walk up the 'waterfall' to an area to jump into a 7' pool. Rum punch was nice and strong. Food is also available for purchase too. Bus departs every hour to return to port.

Zip lining - The trip started horribly, at the hotel we're advised to be ready in the lobby by 8.15am didn't get picked up until 9.40am. And all of this could have been avoided with better communication. Finally we were rounded up in a van so small I had to sit squashed in the car with my son in lap. After a 30+ min journey I got there and everything changed. The whole experience only gets a 4/5 because of the hospitality and friendliness of our two amazing workers here that helped us out. Both Levone and Wayne (Zipline) are fun and knowledgeable. Tip thwse guys they know their stuff.

Chukka Zipline and Tubing - My partner and I enjoyed our time spent at the outpost. Tubing was fun, informative, and relaxing. Our guide, Presi, kept us laughing and was great at his job. The ziplines were fun (there were 4 different ones) and our guides (Levan, OJ, and Dominic) kept us safe and had us laughing throughout the adventure. The outpost had a water slide and a pool to hang out in before hopping on the bus. You can also walk across the bridge to see the sugar mill. Notes: you have to pay for a locker to keep your belongings in and you can change and eat between adventures if time allows.

The Ziplining, The Tubing, and The Exhausting Tipping Pressure - My wife and I recently had an enjoyable day at Goodhope in Jamaica, participating in both ziplining and water tubing. Overall, it was a fun experience with some highlights and several downsides. **Ziplining:** The ziplining adventure was a thrilling experience, offering lovely views of the water and lush tree canopy; safety was a priority, and our guides ensured we were relatively safe throughout. They provided a brief training session on braking techniques, although they confidently assured us that we wouldn't need to use them. However, the downside of this part of the trip was the constant emphasis on tipping. While we understand the importance of tourism to the local economy, the guides repeatedly made jokes and comments about tipping. It felt uncomfortable as they implied that their service was the highlight of our day. They even halted our group near the Goodhope building, reminding us of their reliance on tips and waiting for us to oblige. This high-pressure approach, including waiting near the locker rooms where our cash and belongings were, made the tipping situation quite uncomfortable. **Water Tubing:** The water tubing experience was different from what we expected. We had envisioned a leisurely adventure where we could explore the river at our own pace, stopping for photos, swimming, and enjoying the surroundings. Instead, the guide tied all our tubes together, forming a long line and connecting the front tube to his kayak. While this provided a relaxing journey, it meant we were tied to strangers, unable to enjoy the experience independently. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tubing experience enjoyable. However, he did start with an odd joke about disliking getting wet and then playfully splashed us when one participant needed assistance getting back into her tube. This left us chilly and wet for the remainder of the trip, as the river was cooler due to the shade. **Goodhope Building:** The Goodhope building itself was intriguing, as it's an old rum-making factory with informative displays about Jamaica's history and culture. We appreciated the opportunity to learn about this aspect of Jamaica. As for the pool/waterslide section, we didn't explore it, so we can't provide feedback. **Food and Drinks:** The on-site food was served buffet-style, and we tried the fries, which were decent. However, the drinks at the bar left something to be desired. A pina colada tasted more like a virgin dirty banana, and a strawberry daiquiri was exceptionally strong, presumably made with Appleton rum (a nod to the former rum factory). **Road Conditions:** The major issue during our visit was the terrible road conditions on the way to Goodhope. The road was filled with deep potholes, making the 45-minute bus ride extremely uncomfortable. One passenger even felt sick due to the rough ride. While our bus driver navigated the road skillfully, it was unsettling to hear him insist that his driving was exceptional and worthy of a significant tip simply for navigating such an awful road. **Overall Rating:** In summary, we would rate this experience as a 3/5. While the activities themselves were enjoyable, the constant pressure for tipping and the rough road conditions left a negative impression. To enhance the overall guest experience, we suggest that Chukka invest in road repairs and consider implementing a low-pressure tipping policy for their guides. We booked this adventure through the Sandals site for $357.00, which we found fair until the excessive tipping pressure from four guides (three for ziplining and one for tubing) and the bus driver. If you don't suffer from motion sickness and are prepared for the tipping culture, this experience can be enjoyable.

Fantastic guides and activities but mediocre service. - We were a family of 4 adults and one 10 year old today and had a ball doing the ziplining and tubing. Our guides were high energy and entertaining and it was obvious they were serious about safety for us as well. Marlie was our tubing guide, and he was fantastic and we loved hearing about the history of Martha Brae. Our ziplining guides were also great. After the activities we wanted to have a bite to eat before exploring the waterfalls and using the water slide. We were disappointed to learn there was only one food option, but we were also starving so we sat and ate. Paying by credit card for food and drink was a bit silly, especially with all the payment options available in 2023. You had to decide what alcoholic drink you wanted at the bar and go pay for your drink and food before you could place the order. We just got the food because the idea of running our card any time we wanted a drink was annoying. The service in the gift shop area where you paid was disorganized chaos. 9 Chukka employees in there at once, and only one working the cash. We waited for 20 minutes to make payment. During that time, 2 Chukka employees stood in front of us and had a huge argument. I was taken aback by the unprofessionalism. When we finished eating, the child in our group wanted to try the waterslide. 4 times this child made the 3 minute trek up to the slide, only to be told he couldn’t ride it. The first time we went up, the slide attendant was sleeping and said the slide was closed. We returned to the pool area and the lifeguard said the slide was indeed open and to go back up and tell the attendant to let him go. This didn’t work and he didn’t ride for the second time. The third time, the lifeguard walked my nephew up to the slide himself, told his co-worker to let him on the slide, and came back to the pool to guard the bottom of the pool. Sure enough, here comes my nephew walking back down from the slide AGAIN, once again told no by the pool attendant. That scenario repeated yet again, before I went looking for a manager to come sort things out. 35 minutes later after, he finally got a spin down the slide, but he was so embarrassed at that point, he didn’t enjoy it as much. My boyfriend and I have previously done the tubing and ziplining at Mystic Mountain and I think I prefer that one slightly better, only because the river tubing is longer and much more exhilarating.
