Amazing activity that I would do again! - Overall, it was an excellent activity and I would definitely recommend it! It was stunning and very fun! It was extremely vibrant but I think we had optimal conditions. After reading other reviews I made sure the moon phase wasn’t going to be very bright which definitely helped with visibility. It being a sunny day beforehand is also beneficial as the plankton use the suns energy to shine. It also had not rain for a few days which I believe helped as well. I am not sure it is always as bright but it was spectacular for us! Also I checked and made sure we picked a day that there weren’t as many cruises in so that it would be less crowded! We ended up just having our party of 5 plus 2 more people which made pickup/drop off from our hotel very smooth and quick. I saw some other boats out there that looked packed and not as enjoyable. It threw us a little bit to drive through some “sketchy” residential neighborhoods to get there as it is definitely not a big marina or anything but the place was nice enough! They offered drinks and bug spray. All of the staff, including our driver, were extremely kind and attentive. We waited about an hour at the bar/dock once we arrived for the sun to go down. I highly recommend wearing water shoes as the water is around 5 ft deep and the bottom is a thick squishy mud/seaweed mix. We also all brought changes of clothes since it was about 45 minute drive back to our resort in Montego Bay. We had an absolutely amazing time and it will be something we remember and talk about for years! If the conditions are optimal, this is definitely an activity you do not want to miss!

Glow water to sky - Luminous lagoon excursion was so fun. Crew made us feel safe and welcome. Glowing water feels magical and especially as you see the glow across your skin. The night sky is an added pleasure, stars were so visible and I even saw a shooting star!!

Fun little trip - Cool experience. The driver was on time and called us ahead to let us know he was on his way. Brought us to this little bar on the side of the lagoon where we boarded the boat. Apparently they only do small groups compared to some of the other boats we saw, which to me felt better. The water on the lagoon is shallow so you can actually stand, however the ground is very muddy so water shoes are a must. We were in the water 40 minutes floating with the bioluminescent plankton. You may not catch it with a camera so you might just enjoy it. Bring mosquito repellent !!!! Will definitely recommend

Nice tour - The tour was a lot of fun, driver Romario pickled us up on time and was very accommodating and professional, everyone was friendly and professional - I only wish the glow would have been more visible but that's not up to anybody.

Disappointing - They charged and there was no luminous lights in the water at all that night. Had everyone swim around the boat few times to “stir” up the water with no color at all to be seen. No refund was offered and they took another group out after. If it rains do not take the trip

Mystery water - The water did not illuminate and we was not told that would happen until after we paid and booked the trip. They do not provide this information until after you have paid. They should tell people that their is a possibility that they water would not illuminate

I want my money back...a BIG scam!! - Generally, my reviews have both good and bad aspects to them. Unfortunately, this one will not have any good... (aside from our bus driver) We attended with 7 people, all over the age of 15. We attended April 24 2024 and even before we arrive at the lagoon, we were blindsided with a put stop to a store for "rum tasting"... we werent told about this and if you dont taste or buy you are looked down upon...back onto the bus and onto the lagoon (which you pass to get to the pit stop store) . Once we arrived at the lagoon, we stayed on the bus for approximately 10 mins whilw our driver got our wrist bands. We were one of the first boats out to the lagoon. At first we were informed by the bus driver they would call numbers and load boats that way and to listen for a series of our numbers from our bus..., NOPE.. a free for all with people pushing and budding in line to get into the boats is what happened. We couldn't even hear the announcements as the speakers were all the way at the front of the establishment. Once we got onto the boat, it was a short ride to "the best spot on the lagoon"... Literally 2 feet of water and full mud underneath that acts as quicksand. Let me tell you, the Public Relations and the advertising people for this excursion should both get a raise AND be fired. They made it look like you were swimming and the sun with crazy colours would be there with every stroke but should be ashamed of themselves for false advertisement. In reality, there is a brief luminescent glow and then it is gone and you literally have to work your butt off to make it glow. As the bottom starts to get kicked up from the activity, it makes the light even less visible. Combine that with getting stung with jellyfish and that sums up the trip. I can see why it was $55USD. If word got out that it was more, they would never have anyone go. The Captain even said, "if you didn't enjoy yourself, keep your lips sealed, but if you liked it tell everyone you know" Do with that as you will.. KEY POINTS Don't think it's this crazy bright rainbow of colours that stay forever If you don't want to get stung by jellyfish, don't get into the water No need to wear the life jackets, it's literally 2 feet of water and you can float or walk on the lagoon bottom easily (although it acts as quicksand) Once back on land, there is a place you can wash all the mud off of you. Food and drink are available but exceptionally overpriced. Bring bug spray, I guess they don't spray there for mosquitos. Don't waste your money it is NOT worth it.
