A cool experience for our family - Our family of four (two adults, 13yo, 7yo) really enjoyed this experience. We have kayaked before but are not experienced by any means. The guides were super helpful and knowledgeable. It was a bit of a workout, but totally worth it! The 7 yo was nervous given how dark the excursion was navigating through the mangrove, but was enthralled once we started seeing the bioluminescence created as our paddles pushed through the water. Plan to get wet and to get a good workout in! The snack/food stand was nice to enjoy a quick beverage and bite to eat before we headed out. The description of this excursion was good and we felt well prepared for the adventure.

Awesome - Had a great time! The tour guides were awesome! Kayaking in the dark was the best part! You could see the bioluminescence but not as bright as I thought.

It was a fun experience kayaking in the dark! The - This was a very unique experience! The guides did a very good job making sure everyone was safe. It was a little disappointed because it wasn’t dark enough, but the company made accommodations by using a tarp! Fun experience!

Magical Experience - Kayaking is definitely a team sport, so it's helpful to come with someone you're ready to work with! We had a wonderful time especially because we embraced the feeling of bumper-kayaking at night (expect to crash into other kayaks and trees!). Once we got to the bay, it was truly magical. I recommend looking at what phase the moon is in when planning this trip to make sure you have the best chance at seeing the bioluminescent bbs. The tour guide team was fun and patient with us, and even though the tarp moment felt a little clumsy - the ability to see the bioluminescence in total darkness was really magical. We had such a lovely adventure and I'd love to do it again!

Fun and unique adventure - We had an awesome time kayaking through the bioluminescent bay. Our guides were skilled, helpful, and entertaining. Emily was especially knowledgeable (and funny) and shared a lot of interesting information about why and how the bioluminescence occurs. Even though the moon was pretty bright, we had a fun time kayaking and we could still see the bioluminescence. The magic really happened when the guides brought out tarps to create true darkness so that we could appreciate the phenomenon. That was amazing! We were all fascinated by the individual lights like pieces of glitter. If you are in Fajardo, you should experience this.

Super cool experience! - Amazing experience! Under the tarp the bioluminescent organisms look like fairy dust or glowing glitter. Guides were fantastic. Garef helped us when we got stuck and gave us a tow back. Highly recommend!

This was amazing! The... - This was amazing! The kayaking to the bay was easy and the bioluninescent organisms were visible all the way to the bay. The glowing jellyfish were so fun, too. We didn't know we would have those there, which made it even more amazing. I don't know if they ate at the other bioluninescent bays, but there are tons of them in this one. They don't sting, so we could catch them and hold them. Truly a once in a lifetime experience. The darker the night, the better; best to go with no moon, bit go either way, they will provide tarps to see better. We went about 4 days after no moon and we were able to see them, but with the tarps they provided to put over us, it was super amazing. All the guides were great. Highly recommend this tour!!!

Neat unique kayak experience. Could use some improvements. - Overall it was a fun experience and very neat to see the bioluminescence. We booked on a night closer to a new moon so it’d be darker to see better. My husband couldn’t go as there’s a strictly enforced 250# limit. Be aware if you’re in an odd numbered group, you’ll be paired up with a stranger. I’m an experienced kayaker and my partner wasn’t, so it was a little bummer. I was with my kids so I kindly asked her if I can keep an eye on my minor children and for the most part I could. There were boats going through the mangroves with lights so that greatly diminished the ability to see the bioluminescence. I’d have appreciated a bit more leisurely tour thru the very dark mangroves as it’s hard to see in pitch darkness and our kayak didn’t have a glow stick attached to make sure you didn’t crash into the person ahead of you. It felt rushed at times making sure we all paddled single file as other groups were going the other way. I understand they want to maximize getting customers into this experience, but that and the large crowds detracts from the experience. It was still fun, but there could be improvements for me to give it 5 stars. Staff were nice and worked hard to make sure everyone stayed in line. Advertised this tour was 2 hrs but ours was a little less than 1.5hrs. Nice touch a snack and water at the end. I’d have loved an outdoor shower before the long trek back to our condo, but it’d prob just be more chaos. It’s not like avatar but more light up when you agitate the water. It’s still neat to do and only one of a few in the world that have this phenomenon.
