This site, part of the Wadi El Rayan Protected Area, is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site due to the discovery of 40-million-year-old whale skeletons.
- Faiyum Oasis - En route to the Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls, guests will visit Mudawara Mountain, followed by the Wadi Al Rayan Waterfalls. Wadi El Rayan is a natural depression in the western desert, situated 42 meters below sea level. It comprises two lakes connected by Egypt’s only waterfalls, created in 1970 from the overflow of drainage water from Fayoum’s farmlands.
