Excellent Tour!! - My trip to Al Fayoum and the Valley of the whales was more than what I expected. Ahmed and everyone at Authentic Egypt and Pyramid Immersion Tours made my first day in Egypt special. Ahmed made me feel like we had known each other for years. We went 4 wheeling in the desert, went to Valley of the whales, saw the beautiful lakes in the desert (my favorite) and the waterfalls just to name a few. Lunch at the Bedouin restaurant was delicious. I laughed a lot, learned a lot and totally enjoyed every minute. Thank you Ahmed and everyone at Authentic Egypt and Pyramid Immersion Tours for a great experience.

Amazing Adventure! - Our trip to Wadi El Ryan arranged by Authentic Egypt and Pyramid Immersion Tours was an amazing adventure! It was well worth the journey from Giza through miles of desert and past Lake Qarum to the nature preserve. Before arriving at Wadi El Ryan we stopped and exchanged our car for 4-wheeler, a comfortable and competent Range Rover! We stopped to visit the waterfalls and again to explore the reedy shoreline of one of the two massive lakes in the nature preserve. Continuing on with views of the lakes and extensive desert we took to the dunes for some off-roading..what fun! Wadi Al-Hitan, Whale Valley, is a World Heritage Site. This amazing place has a small museum that explains the significance of the site. There is a small cafe’ and clean restrooms there too. Well marked trails wind through the desert to numerous fossils exposed in the sandy terrain, many complete skeletons, of whales. These extinct whales are in the final stages of loosing their hind limbs as they transition from land based to ocean going mammals. Here is the largest concentration of intact whale fossils in the world! Just as incredible as the fossil-rich land is the bizarre and beautiful terrain with its alien rock formations scattered over the endless desert sand. Our guide and driver were great sports accompanying us as we pushed onward, always just a little further in the brutal sun! Thankfully there are rest stops along the way that provide shade and a place to sit awhile. When we finished exploring Whale Valley we drove back through the desert and out onto the dunes for some joyfully heart stopping 4 wheeling. We climbed up to a vantage point far above the lakes to enjoy a breathtaking view of the endless golden sand and the brilliant blue water. The contrast of color is stunning. We traveled over the dunes to see Magic Lake and made a thrilling descent down a sandy mountain to the shore. At a Bedouin establishment, sitting on colorful rugs in a thatched hut, we enjoyed an authentic Bedouin meal before returning back to our hotel. It was a great day! Thanks to Authentic Egypt and Pyramid Immersion Tours and the owner, Ahmed, for an unforgettable experience!
