Exploring Central Part of Bali: Ubud Village, Kintamani Volcano, Rice Terrace, Waterfall

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary - Ubud Monkey Forest is managed by the village of Padangtegal. The monkeys in this sanctuary are known as long-tailed macaques, scientifically named Macaca fascicularis. These macaques are widespread across Southeast Asia and thrive in areas heavily frequented by humans.

Puri Saren Palace - Known locally as Puri Saren, Ubud Palace is a renowned attraction in Bali. It’s a popular stop during Ubud tours, located in the heart of Ubud Village, a cultural hub on the island. The palace features the Ubud King’s Family Temple in its northeast corner and hosts cultural performances every night.

Ubud Traditional Art Market - The Ubud Market offers a wide array of souvenirs, including silver jewelry, precious stones, batiks, T-shirts, beach sarongs, wood carvings, and cane work bags. The market is bustling, with items even hanging from the ceilings. Expect narrow alleys and occasional unpleasant smells typical of traditional markets.

Kintamani Highland - Kintamani Volcano is a popular tourist spot in Bali, known for its stunning mountain views. Located in Batur Village, Kintamani, Bangli Regency, this area sits 900 meters above sea level, offering cool daytime temperatures and chilly nights. It is 23 miles from Bangli’s capital city.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace - The Tegallalang rice terraces provide a picturesque view of rice paddies cascading down the slopes across the valley. This high roadside location is cool and breezy, making it a favorite spot for tourists to take photos. Artists and nature enthusiasts also frequent this area, which is dotted with art kiosks and cafes.

Tegenungan Waterfall - Tegenungan Waterfall is ideal for nature lovers staying in Ubud or visiting nearby Sukawati. Located halfway between Ubud and Denpasar, it is the closest natural attraction of its kind, reachable within a half-hour drive southeast from Ubud. The journey to the falls is scenic, with paved village roads flanked by green rice fields.

Exploring Western Part of Bali: Taman Ayun, Leke Leke, Ulun Danu Beratan, Candikuning, Jatiluwih, Tanah Lot Temple

Taman Ayun Temple - Taman Ayun Temple is a well-known tourist attraction, located about 18 kilometers from Denpasar on the road to Singaraja via Bedugul. The temple is situated on the left side of the road near the crossroads in Mengwi, where you must turn right if coming from Denpasar.

Leke Leke Waterfall - Leke Leke Waterfall is a hidden gem in north Bali, nestled in a rock crevice. Despite its modest appearance in photos, it is a substantial waterfall surrounded by lush jungle. It remains relatively unknown to most tourists, making it a perfect spot for those seeking less crowded destinations.

Ulun Danu Bratan Temple - Ulun Danu Temple is located on the shores of Lake Beratan, offering beautiful lake and hill views. Situated in a plateau area with a cool atmosphere, the temple is surrounded by hills, with Pucak Sangkur Mountain to the north and Beratan Mountain to the east.

Pasar Candi Kuning - Candikuning Fruit Market is a traditional market in the mountainous Bedugul area, selling fresh fruits and vegetables sourced from local farms. This market is a common stop on Bedugul and Tanah Lot tours or when traveling between Singaraja and other destinations.

Jatiluwih Green Land - Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is a must-visit in Bali, known for its stunning views. The name Jatiluwih means ‘truly special and beautiful,’ reflecting the area’s picturesque rice paddies, which are larger than those found elsewhere on the island.

Tanah Lot Temple - Tanah Lot Temple is one of Bali’s most sacred sea temples, located on a rocky island off the southwest coast. Dedicated to the guardian spirits of the sea, the temple is said to be protected by sea snakes inhabiting the caves below. While the temple itself is not accessible to visitors, there are many vantage points offering spectacular views.

Exploring Northern Part of Bali: Sekumpul Waterfall Hiking, Wanagiri Hidden Hills, Handara Gate, and Bayan Ancient Tree

Sekumpul and Fiji Waterfall - Sekumpul Waterfall, also known as Air Terjun Sekumpul, is considered Bali’s most stunning waterfall, featuring seven tall, misty cascades. Each of the seven waterfalls has its own unique beauty, making this area one of the most picturesque on the island.

Wanagiri Hidden Hills - Wanagiri Hidden Hills & Bali Swing have become popular on Instagram. Located in Munduk, a remote village two hours north of Ubud, Wanagiri Hidden Hills offers whimsical viewpoints over Lake Tambingan and Lake Buyan, including a human-sized bird’s nest, an Indonesian-style Eiffel Tower, and a giant swing.

Handara Iconic Gate - The Handara Gate is a famous Instagram spot in Bali, known for its serene pathway and stunning green scenery. This iconic Balinese gate, set against a backdrop of smoky green hills, provides a perfect photo opportunity for visitors.

Bayan Ancient Tree - The Kayu Putih tree in central Bali is one of the island’s oldest and largest trees, with a fairy-tale-like appearance. It is a magnificent natural landmark.

Exploring Eastern Part of Bali: Lempuyang (Gate of Heaven), Tirta Gangga Water Palace, Virgin Beach, Tenganan Village

Lempuyang Temple - Lempuyang Temple is one of Bali’s oldest and most revered temples, comparable to the Besakih Temple. Located 1,175 meters above sea level on Mount Lempuyang in East Bali, it is a highlight for adventurous travelers.

Tirta Gangga - Tirta Gangga Water Palace is set amidst rice fields around the natural springs of Rejasa, about 7 km north of Amlapura, East Bali’s main town. This royal water garden, featuring water, plants, and sculptures, is a cultural landmark belonging to the Karangasem royal family.

Ujung Water Palace - Ujung Water Palace, also known as Ujung Park or Sukasada Park, is a former palace in Karangasem Regency. Located about 5 kilometers from Amlapura, it features three large pools and a central building called Gili Bale, connected to the pool’s edge by a bridge.

Virgin Beach - Virgin Beach in Bali offers a serene ocean view with natural surroundings. The beach is ideal for swimming, with its calm waters and white sand. It is a peaceful retreat, far from the city’s hustle and bustle, and features traditional Balinese fishing boats.

Exploring Southern Part of Bali: GWK, Uluwatu Temple, Kecak & Fire Dance, Seafood Dinner in Jimbaran Bay

Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park - GWK Cultural Park is home to iconic cultural landmarks, including the 121-meter-tall Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, depicting the Hindu god Vishnu and his mount, the Garuda bird.

Uluwatu Temple - Uluwatu Temple is linked to the Holyman Mpu Kuturan, who arrived in Bali in 1039 AD. He unified various cults into the Tri Murti concept and built 17 temples, including Uluwatu Temple.

Kecak and Fire Dance - The Kecak Dance involves about 50 men chanting ‘CHAK’ and enacting scenes from the Ramayana, depicting Sri Rama’s journey to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Rahwana.

Jimbaran Bay - Jimbaran Bay features numerous cafes along the beach, offering a variety of seafood dishes. These cafes, similar to night markets, serve seafood sourced from the nearby fishing village of Kedonganan.

Excellent organisation - I do numerous tours per year in various countries and have never been on one that is so organised. All information was provided upfront and in clear English meaning I didn’t have to ask a single question after I’d booked it. I got the company to add on airport pickup / dropoff which was the same vehicle and driver and added at a very reasonable price. Once landed, I got a text from the driver, Surya, explaining where he was and what his sign looked like. The first two days we got back in time for an afternoon dip in the pool but the other days we didn’t return until about 17.00. We knew it would be a busy schedule so were prepared in advance, but be aware of this if it’s too much for you. Yes, this tour is a lot more expensive than others, but the only cost we had whilst away was our dinners each night and any souvenirs. Lunch and all admission fees were provided.

5 days tour exploring Bali - Excellent program. We wanted to visit all the iconic sites of Bali, probably we could not have make a better choice. Galungan cut the program into two parts, it turmed out even better to give us a chance to have a little rest. The program is intensive! Our guide, Mur took care of all our wishes, we changed the program once, showed the besz photo spots, helped to take photos, etc. Strongly recommended tour.

A lot of great sites - The tour had some fantastic sites and experiences. The schedule is pretty packed, but you get to see a lot. There is a lot to see and do in Bali, and this tour selected a lot of some of the best spots I was looking forward to seeing. Surya was friendly and helpful. He was my photographer and never complained, and when it came to the Uluwatu Temple, he was very prepared for the mischievous monkeys. I just wished I was prepared a little better on what to wear/bring each day and what order the sites were of the schedule was each day. The biggest problem I had (not Srurya's fault) is that on the last night, I was taken to a restaurant to have the scheduled dinner on Jimbaran Beach, and I got a very bad case of food poisoning. It made my 20+ hour flight the next day absolutely miserable and caused me to even miss multiple days of work. I would still recommend the tour and Surya, but be careful what you eat.
