Best tour we have been on! - This was the best and most authentic experience we had in Colombia! We loved Colombia and really enjoyed all other places we visited but this coffee farm was definitely the place we'd love to visit again! Elizabeth and Arvey are amazing people, and you can see that the farm is not only work for them, it's their whole life and biggest passion! And their passion is contageous! I realized that, although I love coffee, I knew so little about it, and I never thought I could get to love coffee even more. Elizabeth and Arvey told us a lot about coffee - from planting the tree and picking the coffee beans to processing them and making a nice cup of coffee! We learned a lot about the different types of coffee and the different methods to make coffee. We also had the pleasure to taste and compare coffee prepared in different ways. We learned a lot not only about coffee but also about Colombian nature, plants and fruit. The scenery around the farm is amazing as well! Everything about our visit was totally worth it, and I think the farm is a must visit not only for coffee lovers but for anyone who wants to experience Colombian nature and culture at their best!

Best experience of our Columbia trip - The TripAdvisor coffee tour out of Pereira with Arvey and Elizabeth was honestly our most favorite experience in our entire trip in Columbia. You REALLY should do this tour, it’s an unforgettable experience! They are the most hospitable, amicable, and humorous couple/guides. Ex-office workers turned farmers, super down-to-earth people, truly wonderful people to enjoy the day and land with. Their farm was like a Willy Wonka for nature/vegetation lovers! As amateur home-gardeners we were so impressed, enamored, and educated. The coffee experience was SO thorough and hands-on. Cannot stress it enough, you will be IMMERSED in the highest quality coffee production and consumption. However, it is SO MUCH MORE than coffee! You will learn all about vegetation, the beautiful Country, cuddle with their super cool farm animals, and enjoy philosophizing the day away ;) We were chatting and having so much fun, time flew.. 6 hours later the sun was down and we didn’t want to leave! Haha. I hope one day they will be open to volunteers staying some days to help around the farm and fall in love all over again. *P.S. not made with AI

The Best Small Ecotourism Coffee Plantation Tour - Elizabeth and Avery were extremely knowledgeable about coffee and ecotourism. They really made us feel al home. Every trail and demo was handicap friendly. The variety of wild birds were incredible. Loved meeting their ducks and chickens. Great tour!

One of the best experiences in Colombia - Neither words nor pictures can fully describe this experience with Arvey and Elizabeth, a dynamic duo who is not only passionate about growing and brewing the best cup of coffee, but also sustainable and organic farming. This tour is more than just about coffee, but don’t worry you will definitely learn how coffee goes from bean to tree to washing or fermenting to roasting and make a few cups to taste. The tour is also about sustainable farming, learning about the plants and trees that are local to the land, and if you’re lucky tasting some fruit right off the tree. The tour begins the moment you meet Arvey. As he takes you out of the bustling city of Pereira through the whining mountain side, you learn about coffee, the region and the small farm he, a former accountant, started with his wife, Elizabeth, a former engineer. He is quick to correct you if you call it “his farm”. “It is our farm; my wife, Elizabeth and mine.” After a 40ish minute ride, when you arrive at the farm, you make your first cup of coffee with Elizabeth’s guidance. Then the real tour of the farm begins where you learn about coffee and the many other trees and plants like citronella, cotton, mangos, three varieties of avocados, pineapples, bananas, plantains, chocolate, guanábanas, and many more that are grown on then property. They all have their purpose such as cotton to attract birds who use it to build their nests (Arvey and Elizabeth estimated that the types of birds they’ve seen since they started the farm has increased from 30 to 120 species) or trees that are home to iguanas. And of course, some of the plants are grown to produce fruit to eat or have medicinal purposes. While you explore the farm you’ll meet Toby and Lola, the couple’s adorable dogs who wouldn’t mine your love and attention. You’ll also meet the roosters and chickens who produce the farm’s eggs and you’ll see many species of birds. As you near the end of the tour, you’ll learn about the quality control and fermenting and washing process that produces three types of beans - washed, honeyed, and natural. Then, you will return to a refreshing drink - ours was lemonade made from fresh lemons on the farm - and some fresh patacones. You’ll end your tour by making two more cups of coffee with Elizabeth’s direction and learn about the roasting curve. Arvey & Elizabeth’s passion of coffee and sustainable farming makes you feel as if you are family. The tours are small and because the crops fruit during different times of the year, you’re guaranteed a unique experience. A couple of notes - there are bugs (it’s a farm) and I would recommended wearing mosquito repellent/lotion and a good portion of the farm is wheel chair and blind accessible. I highly recommend visiting Arvey and Elizabeth’s farm and supporting sustainable coffee farming. You will learn about coffee and much more.

A MUST-DO coffee EXPERIENCE in Colombia! - A five star experience!! This was a WONDERFUL experience! We recommend this Tour to anyone who wants to understand and get to love coffee! Our host Pablo was OUTSTANDING. His Finca is just AMAZING. He has not just coffee trees (cafetal), but all sorts of fruit & flowering trees (and chickens, ducks, cats & dogs) in his finca. He explained to us everything there is to know about growing coffee from the seed to the art of roasting and preparing an amazing cup of fine coffee. His finca just got a major award to present their work and products at a world coffee fair in Portland, Oregon. The kindest, most knowledgeable coffee farmer, grower and owner. Don’t miss it!

One-of-a-kind coffee farm experience in a beautiful mountain setting - I had a great experience visiting Arvey and Elizabeth's farm! I was picked up from my hotel in Pereira and transported to the farm where I was shown the entire coffee making process from start to finish. Arvey showed me around the property and explained the life cycle of the coffee plant and their method for harvesting. He also showed me how they ferment, process, and dry the coffee beans once they have been picked. Elizabeth then explained the roasting process to me and we enjoyed some snacks and drinks together. Of course, I also got to try two delicious coffees that we made on site. I highly recommend this experience. Arvey and Elizabeth are very kind and welcoming and it is clear that they have a passion for what they do. The farm is located in the mountains above Pereira and it is a very peaceful and quiet place. If you're visiting the Eje Cafetero region, don't miss out on this experience!

A definite must do! - Must do private tour of a small coffee farm. Close enough to Pereira but secluded enough to be authentic. The most striking thing is that you can see and feel the love of the owners for what they do, and the passion they put into their work. I learn all there is to know about coffee I think in this one tour.

Excellent Coffee Tour - This was a truly excellent experience and I’d recommend it for anyone including those who don’t like coffee. Lovely tour of the plants and finca before learning about the whole coffee making process from plant to cup.
