Our guide will be waiting by the marble fountain in Giraldo Square. He will identify himself as the Évora Cultural Experience guide and will call the name of the person who made the reservation. The guide will wait a maximum of 30 minutes for any delay, which will be deducted from the total time.

Evora guide amazing! - Our tour guide Elsa was amazing! Best tour guide in Portugal. She gave us an in depth history of Evora. We came away with an appreciation of this City culture and history.

Perfect start of our visit to Évora - The walk with Paolo was interesting and nice. It gave us a good view of Evora’s history and background. A perfect start if our days here in beautiful Evora!

Informative, interesting and enjoyable tour with an outstanding guide - João is an outstanding tour guide, in fact one of the best we have had in Europe. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Evora and gave us insight into the development of the city from the early days of the Celtics to modern Portugal. As he is a university antiquities PhD student, we were honored for him to share his knowledge with us. He welcomed any questions or discussions we had, and tailored our morning to our interests. We also appreciated his recommendations for shops, restaurants, and spots we should visit while in Evora. As a result of our time with João, our understanding and appreciation of Evora is much greater now!! Thank you João.

The best of Évora with Elsa! - Elsa was an excellent guide. Her narration and historical knowledge made the tour one of our best in Portugal! The pace of the tour was perfect and included fascinating stories and recommendations for further explorations. Elsa’s English was perfect!

Évora walk about - Elsa was our guide and was excellent. Had great knowledge and communicated in English with ease. Enjoyed going through the downtown sites and getting a good base of knowledge and then taking our time in the afternoon and seeing the sights that were of interest to us.

Evora - A Magical Walled City - My wife and I took a private guided tour on 10-May. Evora was brought to a magical light by our tour guide Elsa. The information she shared and the passion in telling us about the wonders of her home city made our tour so enjoyable. We stopped at the major sites inside of Evora’s walls and spent our time strolling from site to site with stories Elsa shared about the history and current day facts and myths. The tour was so well worth it!!

Friendly and Informative! - We highly recommend this tour! The tour guides, Bianca and her partner arrived right on time and met us at the entrance of the hotel. Bianca explained the logistics of the trip and what to expect. Our destination was 50 minutes away, but the time flew by as the guides explained the current use of land and the likelihood of many roman ruins yet to be unearthed. Once at the palace, Bianca described the layout of the village and the long history as we walked the streets. Bianca provided options for how to investigate the palace as the site is quite rugged.

Personalized tour of Evora - Joao provided us with a highly personalized, detailed, engaging tour of Evora. He has a passion for people and for history, as evidenced by his spending even more time with us than contracted for. He energized us on our jet lagged day, and we learned so much!
