Don’t look for any other companies. Ace are ace. - Everything about this trip was perfect. We initially contacted Ace The Himalaya partly due to the very good Trip Advisor reviews. I have never been on a trek like this before and never been at high altitude. I had so many questions to ask. The responses from Ace were not only very quick, but also very informative and I think understanding of my concerns. We could not commit to booking immediately, however they never got tired of my WhatsApp messages. Always got back to me super fast. It takes quite a leap of faith to book a trip like this with a company so far from your home that you don’t know. But if you are thinking of booking a trek in Nepal. Rest assured you can not go wrong with Ace. From the moment of booking they let you know everything you need, to make sure you are doing it right. Such as insurance details etc. When we arrived in Kathmandu they had a guide and driver waiting for us who took us to our hotel and made sure we were happy. We were lucky to have a spare day in KTM the following day. So they picked us up from our hotel and drove us to their offices. We had a pre trek briefing with Prem, who went through all the details of our trek to make sure we were happy and knew what to expect on the mountain. When we landed in Lukla our mountain guide Raj Kumar was waiting for us at the airport. What can I say - Raj was excellent and a real credit to the company. He put us at ease straight away. We trekked with him for 8 days to Everest Base Camp. We were very lucky that neither of us suffered from any altitude related illness. However Raj always talked us through what we might expect regarding this and made sure we knew how to contact him or what room he was in if we needed him overnight. I found the trek quite tough going, but never at any point felt that I couldn’t finish it or make it to the next lodge. You do get plenty of down time to recuperate. Raj was always on hand to make sure we had everything we needed. And each evening we had a briefing on the next days trek to let us know what to expect and also to make sure we had the right kit in our day bags (this does change a little day by day according to the weather and distances etc). We had an amazing acclimatisation day trek from Dingboche to the Nangkartshang peak at 5100m. I was feeling pretty tired and Raj offered to carry my day pack, but I was determined to give it my best and so carried it myself. One of the nice things about this day was that our porter Gobinder also joined us for the day when he could have rested in Dingboche. In that note Gobinder gets a massive thanks from too. He works so hard and carried our main bags every day. We had some amazing experiences on the mountain, such as staying in the Everest View Hotel and the Pyramid lodge near Lobuche. When we got to Gorakshep we left most of our kit in the lodge there and made our way to Base Camp. Arriving there was quite amazing and emotional after such a long trek. Trekking at this altitude is no easy feat and takes it out of you. We stayed at base camp long enough to have a look around and take our photos etc and then headed back to Gorakshep. When we got there I was feeling quite exhausted. I think Raj must have recognised this as even though we had a helicopter return to Lukla booked for the following day, he asked us if we would like him to try to bring it forward to that afternoon. It’s quite hard to sleep at that altitude, so I jumped at the opportunity to descend back down the mountain. All though there were no guarantees, Raj and the guys back at KTM managed to expedite our heli return to Lukla and before we knew it we were back at the start. All in all what a great trek, but hats off to Ace for making it perfect. I’m sure that you could book all these thing individually, but Ace make the whole process seamless and are 100% worth the money.

Seamless service and great guides!! - An excellent trip all around! Raj was an outstanding guide who made us comfortable and safe for the whole duration of our trip. He handled all of the accommodation, food and water for us on the trek and was always very happy to help! He ensured we got the best rooms available in each tea house! Gobinder was an excellent porter who helped us along the trek greatly with our luggage. He was also very helpful with our water and setting the pace up the hills. It was great that raj made it back to Kathmandu at the end of the trek so we could have a post trip meal and a few drinks as a celebration! We were very lucky to get great weather in April 2024 and had booked helicopter return to Kathmandu. As we arrived at EBC early in the morning, raj managed to organise for us to return to lukla the same day which made a big difference to the trip and our quick return to Kathmandu! Thank you raj, Gobinder and ace for an amazing trek with real thought put into the service!!

Best trip ever! - I had always dreamt of embarking on an epic adventure to Everest Base Camp. When the opportunity arose to visit Nepal with my sister and two friends, I couldn't resist. Ace the Himalaya is a highly professional company that pays great attention to detail. Our head guide, Rajendra Neupane, was incredibly friendly and took care of the entire group with genuine concern. His assistant guide, Naryan, was also very attentive and ensured that everyone was comfortable and able to make it to base camp. Ace's strong brand is well-known on the mountain, and their yellow bags are easily distinguishable as the porters diligently carry the gear between tea houses. Our porters - Pradip, Bhupal, Pesal, Sher, and Dipak - were highly reliable and took great care of our equipment. If you want to cross off a bucket list item and visit Everest Base Camp, Ace is the right company to book with. I initially had my doubts about booking with a Nepalese firm, but my experience on the trip has shown me that using a reputable local firm like Ace is the best thing to do. Not only do you help the local economy, but the Ace team has people everywhere who can help you at a moment's notice. What are you waiting for? There’s no better time to book an epic adventure with Ace the Himalaya!

We ACE’d it thanks to Aamod!!! - We had an amazing trek! Climbed Kilimanjaro 5 years ago for my 50th and this trip was to celebrate my girlfriend’s 50th. We had a private tour and our guide Aamod Nepal was fantastic! He looked after us and ensured our safety was a priority. We learned so much about Nepal and the people from him. A great education. He even brought me a bottle of hot water for my sleeping bag after we made it to Basecamp (I was freezing) and knocked on my door to make sure I had a wake up call the next morning so I wasn’t late for our helicopter since my phone battery had died! We saw our porters, Bal Krishna Magar and Suman Magar throughout the trip! They ensured our belongings made it to our rooms every day on time! Wonderful people. Our hotels before and after the trek were very good. We stayed at Aloft and Ramada. Both close to the ACE office. Also took a day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu we booked through ACE. Our Guide, Dil and our Driver Pandip were knowledgeable and we enjoyed our tour. We appreciated learning about the culture here. Again, a big shout out to Aamod for helping our dream become a reality!

Everest Base Camp Trek - Namaste! This Company is top notch. Very responsive to questions via email and texts prior to booking. Once arrived, transportation and accommodations were excellent. The best part of our trek was Aamod our guide. He was very attentive and was extremely informative along the way. He was constantly available for any and all question and needs. He stayed along my side the entire trek to ensure I made it to EBC. The two porters bal Krishna and Suman were impressive with the ability to carry our bags up the mountain. Very polite and friendly to deal with. Great all around Company. Would not hesitate to book with them. TEAM TURTLE!

Thank you, Krish! - A few days ago we returned home from our EBC trekking tour. We are still very impressed by the great experience. And above all, how smoothly everything went. From the first briefing to dinner after the trekking tour, we were in good hands at "Ace the Himalaya". We have already traveled with guides in many countries - for example in the USA, Kenya, Tanzania, Bali etc. But we have to say: Kishore Neupane (aka Krish) has been the best of them all so far! He took care of everything from the first cup of tea in the morning to the last charged power bank in the evening, he had an answer to every (!) question and got us safely to the EBC and to Kalla Pattar the next day. So if you want to start the long journey to the EBC now: with Krish you are in the best hands!

Trekking to EBC and Helicopter back - We had a great time, and learned a lot about the mountains and the local culture. This was a once in a lifetime experience and will be remembered forever. We planned for over a year and felt we were well prepared, asked a lot of questions and had good answers from the staff. Our guide and porters were wonderful and took great care of us. Raju, our guide, gets a lot of credit for all of his patients with us and hard work in planning this adventure. Namaste!

Unforgettable trek to EBC with a wonderful Company that always puts their clients first. 5 Star experience! - I chose Ace the Himalaya as my tour operators for EBC based on the amount of amazing reviews that they had and am so glad that I did. From booking my trip through to my departure, this company has delivered 5 star service and gone above and beyond to ensure that every part of my holiday to Nepal is as special as I hoped it would be. Sujan and Prem were happy to answer all of my questions before arrival and gave lots of essential information regarding Visas upon arrival, kit list and tour procedure. At our pre trek meeting we met our guide, Raj aka Dr Raj, and were given our trekking bags and collected our sleeping bags and Down Jackets (which were super warm and far better value than buying them from home). Raj was with us from the flight to Lukla until we left Gorak Shep and he was the most incredible guide, highly knowledgeable about any health issues that we might face, especially the dreaded Altitude sickness, and constantly ensured that we were walking at a sensible pace and drinking the correct amount of water. He had a wicked sense of humour and a real love of being a guide and that made my experience so special. He always had an answer for my constant questions and I trusted him enough to do as he said knowing that he had my best interests at heart. Our porters, Parbin and Sher, were also awesome. Nothing was too much trouble and they kindly carried my friends day pack on days when she felt tired, on top of our bags. Every mealtime Sher made sure our food and drinks appeared almost as soon as we arrived in the communal area of extra house, and filtered litres of water for us. Always with a smile. We felt cared for and safe at all times and they helped us through when we were struggling. We ended up flying back to Lukla and they managed to get us back to Kathmandu, have us picked up at the airport and booked us a hotel , all within a few hours. The organisation was exceptional. Apart from Raj, Sher and Parbin who actually took care of us day to day there is also a whole team in Kathmandu that prioritise giving the client the trip of a lifetime and making everything run as smoothly as possible. I managed to fulfill a long held dream of getting to Everest Base Camp and I am beyond happy that I chose Ace the Himalaya to help me . The reviews are genuine, they are as good as everyone says they are and I will definitely be back to tackle the Annapurna Circuit with them.
