Additional Information

An individually tailored tour where your preferences take priority. We don’t operate on a fixed schedule and can make ad-hoc modifications based on what we discover on your unique day.

As a resident historian and naturalist who has called this area home for more than half a century, I view myself as a narrator of nature that adds vibrancy to the already breathtaking scenery you will encounter. Our focus will be on the plentiful wildlife, rich biodiversity, and impressive geology of the Rockies. Additionally, we will delve into what life may have been for early settlers, lodge keepers, as well as native tribes like the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute.

The tours I provide are entirely adaptable, so if you feel like trekking for 3 or 4 miles, fantastic! However, if you’d just rather sit back, unwind, and appreciate the view, that’s absolutely fine as well! Regardless of your preference, frequent stops will be made for photographs and discussions about the astonishing sights.

Start here for Rocky Mountain National Park - Bruce is an informal naturalist, local historian and all around Estes enthusiast. Let him know your interests and he'll get you there! Lovely Afternoon at Rocky National Park! - Bruce was super friendly and led a lovely afternoon at the Rocky Mt Park. He was very knowledgeable about the park and its wild life and was accommodating. Really enjoyed our afternoon with him. He even went out of his way to reconnect with us afterwards as I accidentally left a personal item in his car. Highly recommend this tour!

Private tours are the best - Guide was knowledgeable. Saw lots of wild life. Snowed at upper elevations which resulted in beautiful views. Flexible tour which allowed us to stop when we wanted. Thanks.

A fantastic tour of the park, half day or day-long. - Our family was able to work with Bruce to customize a tour that was exactly perfect for our interests, capabilities, and the season. Bruce was extremely knowledgeable about the state of various areas of the park, the communities around the park, conservation efforts and wildlife within the park. Our party included a person who can have anxiety on mountain roads, and Bruce was very accommodating by providing some warnings and ultimately making everyone feel safe and have an enjoyable trip. We chose a relatively full day of activities, and Bruce easily filled early morning until late afternoon with a bit of everything that we hoped to see. Highly recommended!

All the things of Rocky Mountain National Park and so much MORE!!! - Bruce picked us up on time and took us all around the area of Estes Park and then some. It was very cold the day of our tour and windy. There was some road closures in the park areas because of snow. Because of this, we got to go into different areas that he normally doesn't take people. We had just arrived at Estes Park that morning so we did receive the full tour of everything around us. He talked to us about the hikes we intended to do and gave us some great tips on wearing spikes and hikes that were spectacular to see. He also took us around the town and showed us different things to do if the wind persisted. Great tour and such great knowledge of the area and especially the agricultural environment and animals. Loved listening to Bruce and loved the tour. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting from out of town. We got it all!!!

Relaxing, scenic, wildlife drive. - We have been to Estes Park numerous times but today our first guided drive tour. It was worth every cent! Winter time in the park is so much different than the summer tourist season. It’s much more relaxed and the opportunity to see wildlife is abundant. During our 3 hour trip we saw Elk, Coyotes, Big Horned Sheep and Wild Turkeys. Bruce, our driver, was awesome and stopped at spectacular spots for pictures and has a good eye for spotting wildlife. He is extremely knowledgeable about the geology and history of the area. He also made an extra special stop that is dear to my heart as it relates to my family genealogy. Bruce also allowed for a couple of bathroom breaks at heated restrooms (it was very cold today) and his SUV was very comfortable. We highly recommend this personal tour.
