Beginner friendly - Sylvia was an excellent host and guide. She was careful and thorough with her instructions, so we felt safe as both of us are beginner level. Sylvia continued to give us helpful instructions as we rode and maybe changed positions or something, which apparently signals the horse. (Non-rider here!)
The beach ride was lovely. We rode at lower tide and enjoyed the beautiful beach, sky, mountains in the distance, and tropical tree line.
She was knowledgeable about the beach, and the area, and shared her knowledge with us, recommending some nearby sights, a mermaid statue and tide pools, as well as El Miro, an unfinished mansion that you can hike to. We followed through and very much enjoyed her suggestions.
Highly recommend riding with Sylvia.

Incredible tour guide! So... - Incredible tour guide! So much fun. Long ride along the beach, short ride through the forest so be careful of mosquitoes.

A must do activity if you visit the area! - What an amazing experience! I had gone horseback riding before but never on the beach until now! First I would like to say that the animals at CR Beach Barn are definitely well cared for and loved, this was apparent from the first introduction to the horses by Sylwia and the way the dogs always want to be around throughout the ride. Felt safe all the way and would recommend CR Beach Barn to everyone who visits the area. Sylwia took beautiful pictures and videos of us during the ride which she shared with us afterwards, sooooo thoughful and appreciated!

Beautiful Beach Horseback Ride - Fantastic experience. Family of 4 (children 11 and 13) with no riding experience, had a blast. Highlight of our trip to Manuel Antonio. Went during sunset and the beach was beautiful, made for great photos. Was looking for something on horseback in the area, but most seemed to be in the 'jungle' and looked like just a wide trail in the woods. Here we went straight to the nearby beach and with the waves and sunset it just felt magical. Thanks again.

Highly Recommend! - Hands down the best experience I’ve had in CR this week! I have been on a horse twice in my life and was a little nervous about riding a horse on the beach. Sylvia was incredible and immediately put me at ease. She took the time to show us the correct way to sit, how to hold your feet in the stirrups and how to use the reigns. She explained how the horse interprets all of your movements. She is so knowledgeable and it is obvious that she is looking out for the safety of both the horse and rider. Her horses are very well taken care of and it shows. This is not a typical “come and ride a horse” tourist attraction.
I highly recommend this to anyone!

Amazing experience - One of our favourite activities on our Costa Rica trip! The sunset views on the beach were absolutely amazing & the horses were adorable.
Shoutout to Sylvia for being so patient and energetic with each of us, we can tell that she takes good care of the horses as well :-)

enjoying the beach on horseback - The horses were well-trained and gentle. Getting on the horses and making sure everything was safe and correct was reassuring because a 6 yr. old was on the ride.
Sylvia was informative about flora along the way and complementary to riders. She photographed the group and said she would send the pictures. The horse walk was beautiful, pleasant, and very enjoyable.

Great ride on the beach - Start was a bit slow, our 4pm Ride startet 45 minutes late no explanation why. But the ride on the beach was beautiful in the sunset, and we had so much fun riding in the water. I can highly recommend it. It is not a trail ride as usual, Horstes walking in a line. We were actually riding by oursevles. More or less.

Great ride on the beach - This ride on the beach was on my bucket list. Though I am an experienced rider, Sylvia provided me with sensitive instruction on how to neck rein and treat her horse. Larry, my horse, was very easy to ride and good on cues. Sylvia is a great horsewoma who has an interesting philosophy about horses treating them as sensitively as a human.

Do not recommend - Was very excited for this experience and left completely disappointed, horses were acting up and guide was condescending and rude.
