Embark on a journey to Essaouira, previously known as Mogador, strategically situated on a rugged peninsula with vigilant fortifications overseeing the ocean. Its medina exhibits a blend of white and blue hues, a bustling harbour, and stretches of sandy beaches.
Essaouira’s existence can be traced back to the 8th century BC when the Phoenicians made a stopover while navigating the equatorial route. The city was officially established by the Alaouite Sultan Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah who commissioned its construction to Theodore Cornut, a skilled architect and apprentice of Vauban. Currently, Essaouira serves as a charming, animated fishing port buzzing with activity upon the arrival of boats carrying sardines and shellfish for sale at the auction. Witness fishermen on the quay mending the red nets.

A Gem - We took a private taxi Essaouira and it was well worth it, Omar the driver was good and helpful
The actual sea port of Mogador was amazing and if I ever go back to Morocco this a place that I would spend a few days here . It is a Gem of a place
Fisherman seaside restaurant this is the best place to have some fish or Lobster at cheap prices

Great day - We had a great time with Jamal he was a great driver and we both love Essaouira and would definitely look at going back , a definite trip if you need a little rest bite from the rush and hustle bustle of Marrakesh . Jamel was lovely to speak to and would definitely recommend.

Traveled to Casablanca, Rabat Meknes and Essaouira - I traveled with Jamal's company from Marrakesh to Casablanca, Rabat Meknes and Essaouira. And I wanted to point out that Jamal was very nice, and gave a fair price, and the organization was excellent. The vehicle he assigned for the duration of the trip was also a comfortable Toyota Jeep. In particular, the driver named Lahcen, who was a professional driver, arrived everywhere on time, knows literally every spot in Morocco, and was always kind and happy during the long journeys. I strongly recommend traveling with Jamal's company and in particular with Lahcen.

Trip to Essaouira - Very refreshing visit from pulsating and busy Marrakech.
We could not have asked for a better driver than Ibrahim, our young and resourceful driver. We felt very safe with him and his driving, and we had a very nice company during the long trip.

Great private day trip to Essaouira! - Excellent!! We had Ibrahim as a driver on a private day trip to Essaouira and it was fantastic. We requested an early pickup, had a couple stops we wanted to make, and wanted to spend a full day in Essaouira and Ibrahim made it all happen with ease. The car was comfortable and modern and honesty the entire trip was great. The communication beforehand via email and WhatsApp also was fantastic and made it easy to change our plans throughout the day. Would 100% recommend this day trip from Marrakesh to Essaouira! And excellent change of pace!

Marrakesh to Essaouira daily trip - I went for this road trip with Ibrahim who is a thoughtful driver, kind and nice. He drives safely and made me discover some good argan oil production on the way to Essaouira.
