We’ll begin our journey with a several hour drive across the Atlas mountains, making occasional stops:
The initial halt will be to observe ‘flying goats’ ascending Argan trees in search of fresh nuts.
The second pause will provide an opportunity for some relaxation and a coffee break in a Berber village.
The third interlude will be a visit to an Argan Oil production facility.
On reaching Essaouira, you’ll get some personal time to explore the souk in the Medina. Also, take a walkthrough of the Kasbah and Scala ramparts, where you’ll discover the Scala ramparts, Essaouira port, the municipal market, the jewellers’ district and the crafts complex. Along the streets are shops selling a vast array of stunning handmade items, from Thuya wood products to clothing and carpets…
After you’ve taken some time to appreciate the city and its glorious sunny beaches, we’ll head back to Marrakeck, making a few more stops along the way.
