You will start out with a hike through the Tanama Forest located in the Northern Limestone Region of Puerto Rico. You will hike in the forest until reaching the Canyon. We will go floating down stream in favor of the current crossing huge natural cave tunnels passing mountains from one side to the other and relax yourself in the calm and delightful Tanama River waters. Here you will appreciate several natural water springs and incredible landscapes that this paradise provides. Through the canyon, the river current will allow you to float in specially selected places. This will be an adventure that you would never forget. Any questions, give us a call.

This tour takes place in the heart of a subtropical forest, offering private access and a peaceful escape from the crowds. By following ancient trails left by our ancestors, participants will reach the stunning Tanama River. The journey is set against a backdrop of massive limestone formations and numerous springs that line the river’s walls. During the hike, participants will explore the riverbanks and caves, enjoying the refreshing waters of the Tanama River. The tour includes engaging interpretation and storytelling for a more enriching experience. After trekking along the river, the adventure continues with a relaxing tubing experience down the calm waters, leading to more natural pools. This hidden gem promises a locally rich and truly unique adventure for all explorers.
- What to bring: gym shoes or hiking shoes, high-caloric snacks, water, sunblock, backpack, clothes that can get wet, swimsuit, towel and change of dry clothes. Bring enough snacks for 6 hours!!

Wow/ OMG/ Amazing experience !!! - Exploring the Tanamá River was hands down one of the best parts of our trip to Puerto Rico. And Omar? Easily the best tour guide we’ve ever had.
He was friendly, easy to talk to, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe the whole time. You could tell he really knew and loved the area, he shared so many cool facts about the caves, plants, and history along the way, but never in a way that felt like a lecture. Just genuine and interesting.
The hike, cave exploring, and floating down the river were all beautiful and fun, but having someone like Omar leading the way made it even better. He kept the energy up, checked in on everyone, and somehow made it feel like we were just out on an adventure with a friend.
If you’re thinking about doing this, go for it and if you can request Omar, do it. He made the whole experience unforgettable.

Amazing! - This is a tour that you should not miss! The Tanama River is amazing, and both Juan and Allyson are the best guides you could ask for. They kept everyone safe, they were fun, and we learned a lot from them. We will always remember our day on the river with them. If you have the chance to travel to Puerto Rico, you will want to explore this area with these knowledgable guides.

Great experience at the Tanama heart. - The landscape was amazing, the guide was so funny to be around with and we felt like in an avatar movie! Take the recommendations of the crew seriously and just enjoy the surroundings!

Spectacular!!!! - An adventure for the whole family. We loved it. Direct contact with nature. The guides are kind, polite and friendly. They are always attentive to the safety of tourists and their comfort. They guide you through the flora and fauna, and you learn a lot about Puerto Rican culture.
It's the best adventure we've ever had!!!!!

An Absolute ‘Don’t Miss’ Experience - Amazing experience with a knowledgeable guide with a private entrance. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating to us. My teenage boys and I loved this adventure on the river so much!The peace and views were like nothing we’d ever seen before. And it didn’t feel touristy at all. It was like being welcomed into a local’s home.

One of The Best Experiences - This was one of the best excursions that I have ever been on. Didn’t know what to really expect. Make sure that you have on hiking shoes that you don’t mind getting wet. Also, be prepared to hike up a steep hill.

It Was a great experience, although I wish the tubing part was longer , enjoyed it to the max, that hike back⬆️was real - The views was nice, the tour guy was awesome, and took pictures of us all. 😊 although i havent seen them yet, im waiting to receive them, but I know they're great !

Very fun but could be improved - This was a really fun adventure, and the guides were great and friendly. We definitely enjoyed it, but there are some things I think could be improved. I wish they would have given more information ahead of time about what to expect and what to bring and wear. When we arrived, they told us to wear hiking shoes and not Teva style sandals or water shoes. Well, since they didn't tell us that ahead of time in the reminder email or even in the confirmation email, some people didn't have appropriate footwear with them. It also would have been helpful to know ahead of time how it was all going to happen - that we would be hiking/swimming up river and getting in a muddy cave. There were people wearing white?? I would have brought my own dry bag for my snacks if I knew I would need to bring my own snacks. Things like that. Some drinks and snacks provided would be awesome. The tour is from 8-2, so people get hungry and we weren't given any guidance ahead of time on bringing snacks and water. When I checked the reminder email before we left, all it said was where to meet.
